Weird card. If you can hold out until turn 7 against any zoo style deck this card just wins the game. Rogue can lose to this too if they don't draw flik. Then there's a lot of decks it's just worthless against, like priest and mage. It's terrible against druid too except for exactly glowfly swarm. We'll have to see how the meta pans out.
Its not "terrible against druid except for exactly glowfly swarm". Its good against any of their swarm cards and one of the few options for DH to clear a Exotic Mountseller board.
Mountseller is a pretty good point. I forgot about that. I guess it depends on what the random beasts are and how many. There's a good number of 4 health beasts, and 3 health beasts don't die if they cast power of the wild. This card only answers mountseller sometimes.
Druid has a lot of other swarm cards, but none of them are good. Thats why I didn't bother considering them. Straight up token druid needs a lot of help if it's going to see play. I guess it's not impossible that people'll start running The Forest's Aid and whatnot. Just doesn't seem very likely.
And against control decks have more chance to live enough to draw something to combo with this like Mo'arg Artificer.
Let's says a mage opponent plays something like Learn Draconic + Deep Freeze on Turn 9.
That leaves them two 3/6 that freeze, a 6/6 and your face freezed.
Forget about swinging that Flamereaper ever again, and wait for that Kalecgos + free Pyroblast on your face /Polymorph in your taunt for lethal in the next turns with all those minions.
But now you can use this card (Cycle of Hatred) + Mo'arg Artificer and remove their board and have four 3/3 for free (four because you also kill your Mo'Arg).
Sure they can play Flamestrike or The Amazing Reno after but still, you are forcing them to use big removal for free.
It's this card good enough against a face and zoo-kind decks? No, except you play more taunts/heal and AOEs, then it could be relevant.
And DH has a good curve plan for that, in Ashtongue Battlelord -> Chaos Nova -> Khartut Defender -> This card. So it could work both against aggro and control in the right deck.

Flamestrike but you get minions... Disgusting. Will see play in control archetypes.
Imagine this + the minion that doubles the damage dealt to the minons. 9 mana deal 6 damage to enemy minions and summon 3/3 for each that died. Thats priest level of shenanigans...
Maybe a nerf in the future who knows.
At 7 mana if your opponent has only 3hp minios, he deserves to die!
It'll deal with specific strategies, some of which simply don't exist this meta.
That's the thing: cards are only as good as the meta allows them to be.
this is exactly the reason why DH made me stop playing Hearthstone in normal mode and they keep printing these batshit crazy op cards, too bad
this card will be nerfed next week and the week after
God, I'm already tired of this card.
I'm calling it, this card will be nerfed to 8 mana. Reverse sweep is too real compared to a Flamestrike
Doubt it. It's pretty meh if you ask me, being 7 mana. It's like hellfire for 7 mana and you get a couple minions that are weak for turn 8.
Don't underestimate the huge Mana cost, this is stricly WORSE than Chaos Nova in most matchups.
