Ben Thompson Has Left The Hearthstone Team

It appears that Ben Thompson has left the Hearthstone team, we can tell by his latest additions to his ArtStation portfolio where he's mentioning his departure from the Hearthstone team.

  • Ben was working on the Hearthstone team as a lead artist and he was responsible for developing and maintaining the style of the game throughout the production.
  • Throughout the years, Ben created a lot of familiar cards, expansion logos, game-boards, card backs, and many more.
  • Some of them being -> Leeching Poison; Eydis Darkbane; Light's Sorrow; The Coin; Gallywix's Coin; Band of Bees; Shut up, Priest; The Hunted
  • Ben also created our favorite SMOrc hero -> Rexxar

I actually left the company two weeks after BlizzCon last year and just didn’t make a big exit of it. I miss the team and of course the game as I saw it as my child after 11 years, but it was time to hand the reins to others and try something new again.
