EDIT 2: The Final Standings after the event!
Quote from BlizzardFor the climactic conclusion of the FELFIRE FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND VENGEANCE, we’re excited to announce the return of the Battlegrounds Brawl! On June 23, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. PT, 16 Hearthstone creators will be split into 4 teams—the Southsea Swashbucklers, Bloodsail Buccaneers, Fogsail Freebooters, and Northsea Navigators—each competing for their share of a $200,000 prize pool across 7 rounds of heated Battlegrounds action!
How it Works
Scoring: Two games will be played simultaneously in each round. Points will be awarded at the end of each round to individual competitors based on their placement and added to their team’s total point score.
- 1st place finish = 5 points awarded
- 2nd place finish = 4 points awarded
- 3rd place finish = 2 points awarded
- 4th place finish = 1 point awarded
Prizing: $200,000 in total is up for grabs! Final placement and respective prizing will be determined by each team’s total point score after 7 rounds. Each team’s total number of 1st place finishes will be the primary tiebreaker.
- 1st place team = $20,000 per member
- 2nd place team = $12,500 per member
- 3rd place team = $10,000 per member
- 4th place team = $7,500 per member

Found this from the Reddit discussion thread - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MXgTfqDYeTKyAllq6rRJTmgp3BqU8hJs-IqdYVXV8o8/edit#gid=1777716029 - individual player stats.
As I suspected after her blistering first four rounds, Sylsssa was top with 20 points. Interestingly, after those first 4 rounds (two firsts and two seconds), she only got points once more (third) and didn't score twice - but 20 points alone when the winning team got 52 is pretty amazing. Rounding out the top 3 were Shtan with 17 and Sjow with 15 - no major surprises there. Also no surprise Fogsail won when all 4 of their players were in the top 8 (2nd, two tied at 5th, and 8th).
Worst performers? Trump came last (with a score of 2 - 4 behind second last) - not surprising. He can do well in constructed, but from what I've seen of him in Battlegrounds he struggles a lot with making the correct calls. Firebat came in second last with 6, but between 10th and 15th there's only a 3 point difference, so not that much. I'm subbed to Trump and enjoy his content overall, but I must say that I'm in no way surprised that he's the one negative outlier for this event.
Rats - it was 3AM here when I had to stop watching after about 4 rounds, and Sylsssa had been absolutely killing it. Of course, this is battlegrounds and there's a lot of luck involved - but you can't deny her chops when after 4 rounds with some top class players she went two firsts and two seconds. I think at that point they were leading and she had scored something like 18 out of their 28 points, also beating the bottom placed team single-handedly.
Who won?
I put a somewhat spoiler safe link in the news post with the end standings but I'll repeat just the winners here:
It was team Fogsail Freebooters. Dog, Hafu, Thijs, Shtan Udachi :D
who performed best and who got carried
GG Blizz, not a single drop.
You won't get any notification this time on twitch but if you login in to HS you'll get the packs.
My bad. You'r right.
Seriously minimize the window and go do something worthwhile , collect the packs it’s really that simple.
log in , minimize and close window after 4 hours. Amazing ... 80 dust was never easier ! Even better when you remote into a desktop to do it on a computer you don’t even use hahahahaha.
I ve watched Kripp for like 3 hours, didnt get any drops. Anyone have a similar issue?
Same here.
Alright; even though there was no notifications on twitch, I got the packs anyway when I logged into the game.
I watched this for 15 minutes and then gave up. Really boring.
I guess no free packs for me.
No disrespect to whoever playing BG, hope you enjoy it, but I absolutely have no idea how this game mode got popular in the first place. It is like autochess games and hearthstone have a really ugly kid.
Just a single black participant? What the heck Blizz, what happened with the whole diversity and inclusion and actions to support black communities thingy...?
So you want specific players extra invited based on the color of their skin ?
Sounds pretty racist to me.
No, it's not. It's in fact the opposite.
They should include more black people in events like this so they get represented. By doing this other black people will be able to identify themselves with the participants and also play the game more frequently, showing up more in the future.
By not extra inviting black people, they just create a snowball effect, and there will only be whites there.
So, yeah, you do "extra invite people based on the color of their skin" if you want to fight against racism, what Blizzard doesn't really do.
I would also take it a step further and say: what the heck Blizzard, just a single woman?
Yeah, the way to fight against racism is to do selective invites based on the nonsensical idea of "races" with associated skin colors.
All those stereotypical caucasian white players like Tom, Trump, Hafu, etc.
I didn't mention 'races' at any time. Just talked about skin colors, races don't exist for humans. And you can't deny that there is only one black player.
