Battlegrounds Tier Lists - Top 15 Battlegrounds Rank EU
Some days after the latest Battlegrounds Balance Patch several players in the top 15 of the Battlegrounds rankings in Europe weighed in with tierlists or their comments on them.
First up a Tier list by Team Liquid's Sjow, slated to appear in the upcoming Blizzard organized Battlegrounds event "Battlegrounds Brawl" tomorrow, June 23rd. This event features some of the most prominent names in Hearthstone Battlegrounds as well as a slew of Hearthstone content creators who love the format.
Sjow's Tier List
Sjow's list seems to confirm early community feelings and data the community has put together and seems a very solid list of how to rank the Heroes currently.

- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Nozdormu
- Yogg-Saron
Xixo's Tier List
Xixo had a slightly more humorous approach to the Tier list, as seen below, saying that the D rank was in random order.
Though meant to poke fun, the list definitely had it's merits too. Grandmaster RDU, who boosted his own Battlegrounds score to above 14k and into the EU Top 15 in anticipation of the Battlegrounds Brawl event, tweeted a response to the list, saying "Classic Xixo but he's not wrong" as well as adding later, in response to the unusually high rank of Maiev on the list "she just got buffed, I like her too but too soon to say if she's top5".

Posted Jun 23, 2020 (Twin Slice Nerf)Even if it sounds weird, I think the pirates made Alextrasza a bit better, specifically the one that reduces the cost of ranking up, as it helps aiming at 5th rank without having a completely empty board in the meanwhile.

Posted Jun 23, 2020 (Twin Slice Nerf)On paper, Malygos is part Nozdormu, part Hooktusk. Even if it's only, say, a quarter of Nozdormu and a third of Hooktusk, that's not bad.
But the results don't really show it too much. Those show something between Elise and Flurgl, which seems like low B-Tier.

Posted Jun 22, 2020 (Twin Slice Nerf)My impression is that Eudora and Maiev are super powerful but they require a good amount of skill to play optimally, while Hooktusk is a LOT easier.
That's probably why the top players rank those two higher than sites like HS Replay, where they take winrates from all ranks.

Posted Jun 22, 2020 (Twin Slice Nerf)The RNG matters a lot but along with the golden minion you also get to discover a minion from a tier higher, which is arguably a bigger deal than the golden minion itself. And you obviously try to time the last dig with levelling.

Posted Jun 28, 2020 (Twin Slice Nerf)At the very worst it's 4 turns for a 'Discover a minion of a tier higher and gain 1 gold' That's still not bad for a 'very worst', not good but also not bad. Don't forget that heroes like Jaraxxus at worst simply don't get offered demons and pretty much have no hero power at all in those cases. But if you roll even something slightly good and can build around it it's almost already a guarantee for a top 4 spot.
She's pretty good.
