Maybe if rogue maintains the highest ladder winrate after three sets of nerfs they will consider it.
Big mistake from Blizzard with changing Twin Slice. Imagine odd DH with that 3/4 weapon, he can deal now 42 damage in one turn if he use one Twin Slice or 62 DAMAGE IN SINGLE TURN FROM FACE if he use both. That’s definitely not ok especialy in case when odd DH have very high win rate and also cheating odd/even rules when combine both efects.
How exactly did you calculate that damage?
Since when are they balancing the game for wild?
3/4 weapon (5 mana) + hero power 2 damage (1 mana) + 2x or 4x slice so 4 or 8 additional damage (2 or 4 mana) = 9/4 or 13/4 weapon.
9x4 = 36 + 6 damage with face (8 mana in total) or 13x4 = 52 + 10 damage with face (10 mana in total)
Sorry but you can't hit face twice in the same turn.
My apologize, but you mistaken in reading. I didn’t say that damage is OTK directed to opponent’s face, I counted potential total damage from DH’s face with equiped Warglaives of Azzinoth. We all know that damage is divided to 5 attacks which first four target minions. But thanks for repeat.
But you need Premium to see the real data that is important.
It's on #1 because it shows the data from all ranks on the main page. There it is succesful because it is an cheap and good deck to build for the low rank people.
If you dig into Diamond 5 - Legend the Demonhunter was not that good at all anymore. And not even played that much anymore anyway.
I've played against plenty of demon hunter at legend, and today's datareaper report had it on top as well.
Ok, can we unnerf Kael'thas Sunstrider now, please? Let the card have some more time to shine in Standard.
Uhm , no thanks. This card is already unnerved, since he could only cast one time the third spell for free.
This card " shining " would instantly create a very toxic and uninteractive meta, wich Blizzard and most players don’t appreciate.
The problem definetly comes from Altruis the Outcast.
The Demon Hunter neutering is complete with a new Twin Slice.
Neutering? It's still #1 on HSReplay, only left that spot for about a week to Hunter, then took it back with a vengeance. No neutering, simply putting it in its place, next to the rest.
I gotta say I really appreciate the Maiev buff.
"the people that cry to Blizzard for help because they are not able to beat decks they aren't supposed to beat in the first place"
" I just don't cry to Blizzard for help because I'm losing to something I'm supposed to lose to, I make the choice to play Combo, which is weak to Aggro, so I accept that I'll nearly always lose to Aggro"
You work at Blizzard? Because sometimes I think they also want a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" kind of game, where your counters have nearly 100% winrate against you and you should concede to not waste time for you and your opponent.
I would love a game a little more near to Chess or (more accurate) Poker, where every deck would be near 50% against everything and is your skill (and yes the luck in the draw as most card games) which will earn you the win. As you said, more "Technical Play".
But if that can't be, at least some balance is necessary. If a card is too OP in 99 of 100 decks (being OK only in a niche combo deck you run) it must be balanced, even at the cost of your deck. You will have a lot of other ways to make combo decks, as you can see in most of HS youtuber's channels. And needed nerfs like this one may even allow you to have a chance with that niche decks, as you should have.
every thing has near 50% against everything else? have you heard of Yomi???, the designer's that game solved by giving everyone unmodifiable precons all the time and not alowing players to deckbuild, the thing is that as long as there is a deckbuilding process you'll have unbalance there because there are cards and decisions that will always be better than others even if they are a small margin better if every card on your dekc is slightly better at dealing with your opponent's deck it will add up, but a game with no deckbuilding becomes boring and stale.
No just nerf Satyr overseer to a 3/2, nerf Glaivebound Adept to a 5/4, nerf Warglaides of Azanoth to 6 mana, nerf Skull of Guldan to (reduce the cost of cards drawn to 2), and the class would actually be properly balanced.
"I don't play it, so nerf every card until no one plays it, then it would be balanced"
No these are just changes that need to be made for the long term health of the class and the game. I have whole portfolios of cards that need to be nerfed and buffed and I'm not targeting DH out of spite but to better the game.
