Patch 17.4.1 - Twin Slice Nerf - Battlegrounds Balance Changes
In a surprise move Blizzard sent some patch notes out today for a Patch launching tomorrow, June 18th. It includes several Battlegrounds Balance changes as well as a notable change to Twin Slice in the normal game. It will now cost 1 Mana for both charges, but increase attack by 2 instead of 1!

- Old: [Cost 0] Give your hero +1 Attack this turn. Add 'Second Slice' to your hand → New: [Cost 1] Give your hero +2 Attack this turn. Add ‘Second Slice’ to your hand.
Second Slice
- Old: [Cost 0] Give your hero +1 Attack this turn. → New: [Cost 1] Give your hero +2 Attack this turn.
Golden Twin Slice will be eligible for a full dust refund for two weeks after the 17.4.1 patch goes live.

Battlegrounds Bug Fixes
- Fixed two separate issues that caused the Hero Powers for Lady Vashj and Maiev Shadowsong to trigger unintended effects in the shop phase.
- Fixed an issue where the Deathrattle for Sneed's Old Shredder was not summoning newly added Legendary minions.
I said, "neutering" because they continue to put their cross-hairs on the DH cards for the 3rd straight time since April and DH's been around for not even 3 months yet. They just seem hell-bent on removing all of that hero's strong points. I'm not saying he can't win, but it's less likely with every nerf.
Personally, I think they don't want so many people playing DH. I'll bet good money that they never anticipated how many people would play DH right out of the gates. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a DH with a 1000 win portrait...only took them 2 months??? That's a crap load of DH games to get 1000 wins that fast and they're not alone. I don't play all the time and I've got almost 500 wins my self. :)
Well, rip early game Altruis board wipes and easy early game minion triggers. On the other hand, HOT DAMN 2 ATTACK! That’s gonna make the lifesteal weapon more interesting to include.

Hopefully they tested that. Typically the testing team will try out suggestions just like yours.
I think the change they went for fits better with the card theme. They are 'twin slices' after all, not 'slice and slightly stronger slice'.
Still no patch??
That's the hope. Demon hunter has been the dominant force on ladder, even after its third set of nerfs, it makes a lot of sense to make a change that breaks some of the staple power plays of the deck. The new version of twin slice is still a good card, but not nearly as insane as the old one.

the thing, is wild is too fastfor you to spend 2 mana in a measly 4 attack, in fact the new Twin Slice is basically Heroic Strike and very few aggressive warrior decks play that now
13 of that can go to face for one turn... Like a reduced fireball and frostbolt
Twin slice's nerf seems huge but I am happy that at least they didnt make it 1 mana +1 attack.
it will screw demon hunter way more than some people realise.

I dont want to be the devil's advocate but i have a fear that Monstrous Macaw will still be a problem. Its definitely a nerf since you can no longer get it on tavern 2 with Spawn of Nzoth and there are fewer in the pool, but the Macaw-Goldrin combo is still going to be insanely strong. I think it would make more sense to make it a tavern 4 minion, give it much bigger stats, but make its effect an Overkill effect.

Did they tinkered with Leg drop rate too? From the three packs from quest and tavern brawl I opened 3 legs of which one is golden. xD

Sadly I didn't took screenshots and exactly knew I would get this comment but wanted to share anyway downvote me all you can but it's true lol. Now I gonna have more fun with the cards. Even though one was Pogger (Hogger lol).
It's always Hogger.. so tired of getting him. (Or the Beast)
I always try to use every leg I get then I loose everygame I play with the meme deck and delete the deck. xD Hogger is probably no different.
It's sad :( Nerf Backstab too please.
