EDIT: Added Clarification Tweet!
The Golden Classic Bundle - Containing 6 Golden Classic Packs
Blizzard just released a new Golden Classic Bundle. According to a tweet by Celestalon these packs do NOT have a pity timer, correcting an earlier tweet that they did have one.
Summary:
- Contains 6 Golden Classic card packs.
- Can only be redeemed once per account.
- Available through May 26, 2020.
- Can be bought in-game or on the store for $15/15€.
Quote from CelestalonUpdate: I was wrong, apologies. Golden packs are so rare, with no expectation to get enough of them to hit any pity timers, that we made them completely independent rolls, every time.

Yep, that's right. I understand that Hearthstone, as all "f2p" games, has to have a way to earn money for the creators through some in-game content, but heck the prices of the "great" deals in HS are just outrageous. I mean, yesterday I bought Mass Effect: Andromeda for 6$ on PlayStation Store. I recieve a great game that I will probably spend a lot of fun time with. Now Blizzard wants me to spend almost 3 times more to get a few shiny cards in their game? I mean, I really like Hearthstone, but the prices there are so fckin shitty. Even the pre-orders. You pay 80$ to get some packs, a card back and a new hero portrait. It seems cool, as it gives you a boost in the new expansion. Yeah, just ignore the fact that for this price alone, you could probably get a huge collection of games, which could be enough for the whole year or even more... I once bought the pre-order in Hearthstone and I can tell you, even if I got the whole set of the new cards (which is not possible btw) it still wouldn't be worth it.
@Belakholder, I appreciate your existence
@Artimex723, all too true. Sadly F2P games base their price tags on the top .1% of spenders rather than what a casual player is willing to pay.
Spending $15 at Nintendo: A $15 eShop card to use towards a $60 first-party game on the Wii U or Switch. Release date is irrelevant.
Next easy money for Blizz and of course you idiots will buy it xD when this game needs more content, balance they just add golden packs lol
Because the question was aked several times: there is NO guaranteed legendary in the first 10 golden classic packs.
Blizzard stated this with the first golden pack they released along with the twitch promo:
I opened 12 golden packs since the twitch offer including the new offer - and got no legendary card (got in total 4 epic, 13 rares)
Yes, Golden Classic packs has separate pitytimer from other packs.
Well, that's terrible then. This bundle is essentially a lottery ticket. Continue with this and the EU bans your business model, Blizzard! Loot boxes are already under heavy critics, because they are indeed close to gambling.
And this one is gambling.
They have no pity timer at all.
With pitytimers at 40/6 I see no use for this bundle. So mebeh laterz anuder one...
My have been awesome.
The pitytimer for getting a Legendary with a specific set is 10.
So the odds are pretty good to get a golden Legendary? At least I got a golden Black Knight.
interesting for new players
old players wont touch this
Legendary Dust won’t hurt for new expansion.
If you planning that far ahead for dust profit in a digital f2p game, ya'll need to re-evaluate your life.
Do these have the same timer as regular classic packs? If not, 6 Packs is rather dirty, some players will get their first guaranteed legendary and others won't.
only opened two packs so far golden cho and BK in each of the two... but never have opened a legend in any of the other gold pack promos hmm..
They are realeasing fine bundles, but in current state of game is buying bundles completly irrelevant. They should spend more time to fix and stable RNG mechanics.
RNG based packs in an RNG based game.
