EDIT: Added Clarification Tweet!
The Golden Classic Bundle - Containing 6 Golden Classic Packs
Blizzard just released a new Golden Classic Bundle. According to a tweet by Celestalon these packs do NOT have a pity timer, correcting an earlier tweet that they did have one.
Summary:
- Contains 6 Golden Classic card packs.
- Can only be redeemed once per account.
- Available through May 26, 2020.
- Can be bought in-game or on the store for $15/15€.
Quote from CelestalonUpdate: I was wrong, apologies. Golden packs are so rare, with no expectation to get enough of them to hit any pity timers, that we made them completely independent rolls, every time.
Quote from BlizzardLevel up the shine and shimmer of your Collection with the new Golden Classic Bundle, containing 6 Classic card packs filled with golden cards!
I was not sure, if I wanna buy it - mostly because my android emulator can not open HS after the last patch (help anyone?)
however I bought it today, and to my surprise, I realized that the golden cards also have duplicate protection on their own, I never read this in the patch notes like this, I always thought duplicate protection is for card itself, but it fact there are 2 duplicate protections (1x non-golden and 1x golden)
and this is really awesome - I got literally only new (golden) cards for my collection, e.g. from all the common I only miss 1x golden Pilfer to complete my basic (golden common) collection
You do realize this is literally the best deal they've ever offered right? I know that card-wise it's kinda low, but dust wise is insane. 15 packs of any expansion cost 20 bucks (Well $19.99 in case someone's picky) and while it does give you a bunch more card, it gives you like 800-1k dust on average. The 6 golden packs give you at WORST 1800 dust for $5 less. I honestly could not care less about the cards themselves but the fact that at worst I'll get 1.8k dust is really really good, that's a legendary of my choice so yeah, it's indeed a lot less cards but in the long run is so so much better
I managed to get the WORST dust total. Of course.
It sucks but as I said, it's still way way better than opening regular packs and it's way better than the most comparable set of packs due to pricing (15 packs at $20). The only thing that on average gives you the same amount of dust is buying 25 packs, and I say on average cause you need to get 1 Legendary to get the same 1.8 dust, which is obviously not guaranteed. There's obviously no 25 pack bundle so you need to buy a 12 pack, 7 pack and 2 pack (24 total) which costs you $33 so double the amount for not even having the same amount of dust guaranteed. I opened mine and got 2 epics and an extra rare, nothing too fancy but still gave me 2550 dust which again, for $15 is absolutely insane if you ask me.
So i made this deal, bought those packs. Frankly speaking i was ready for the risk to have minimum value (1800 dust, if no epics or legendaries). BUT! I was lucky enough to open Hogger in the first one, so the number of dust significally increased, all in all i got 3400 dust from this. Pretty happy about that, cause now i can craft 2x legendaries i am missing for mage.
yes, there is an official answer for that:

Please dont buy this. Make Blizzard see this is too expensive for 6 packs. Golden or not.
I opened Golden Natalie. Is it useful?
And your source of this information is... ?
I’ve open 12 golden packs without an epic. The normal pity timer is 10.
24 golden commons and 6 golden rares for 15$.. i know my luck :D its.. not a bad deal but.. im not going for it..
This
This is GOTY edition and its about 160-200 hours. 100hours for base game and next 100 for 2 DLC Expansions. Funny when I saw this Blizzard "promo" LUL then I immediately also start to think about Witcher 3 in which I have 400 hours now :D
Lol...shame on him for planning for an expansion that will be released in 2 months..
This is a great deal, I got 4000 dust from it.
Although let's be honest. No matter how much free stuff or value deals we get every expansion, Hearthstone will still be a big money drain for anyone who wants to play with the fun cards (legendaries and epics). You can always get to legend with budget hunter, but that deck is boring as hell. King Krush on turn 7 with Dinotamer Brann, Zixor Prime with four 7/7 rush minions for 8 mana and Teron Gorefiend on a board full of Leper Gnomes is what keeps us interested in the game.
It's funny you mentioned those interactions because I have been playing Roffle's Highlander Hunter last night (with one change since I don't have Dragonbane, swapped it out for Brightwing) and managed to get through all of Platinum in Wild with the deck with one more change for a Flare midway since there is a lot of Secret Mages out there. Zixor, Apex Predator/Zixor Prime has also been pulling far more weight than I expected.
I am currently at Diamond 9 and is going to try for Legend with this deck.
Even had one game where I was able to drop Brann Bronzebeard and Dinotamer Brann on the same turn and smack the opponent for 16 Charge damage with 2 King Krush.
It's certainly not cheap to keep up with this game but those moments is well worth it. I could have done FAR worse with my money.
Guys I have seen a lot of comments about golden legendarys I just pulled two and got a couple of epics. If you even get 1 golden legendary this deals worth it. A legendary is worth 20 packs or 20 bucks a legendary for less than that is a good deal.
Spending $15 at Blizzard: A hand full of shiny cards, released about 5 years ago.
Spending $15 at CD Projekt: An AA title with 100+ hours of content, released about 5 years ago.
Amen to that! long live Geralt the witcher !
