Game Improvements and Bug Fixes
Ethereal Conjurer will now function correctly and will no longer lock the game state when played.
Scrap imp has the best played win rate on curve in standard ie. 70 percent. Thus a major nerf.
Is it work with new "no duplicate" system? Dust rare->open pack->dust rare->open pack->....
IIRC, you wont be able to open those cards in packs till the end of the full dust refund period
The no-duplicate system remembers what cards you've opened, and does not care about whether or not you dust them.
Thus, for example, if you have all commons in the set and dust Crimson Sigil Runner, you are not guarenteed to get the card out of your next pack because the game still assumes you have it.
This is specifically to prevent abuse of the dust system in the situation you have mentioned.
We're looking at what 30+ card changes in about 2 months....
I don't love Hanar or Blackjack Stunner, but neither card really torques me up when playing Rogue. It's the discover cards that get me. Discover a Dragon and Discover a Legendary minion to be exact. When they pull godly stuff out of those that their class has no business casting it bothers me. And they always seem to get some amazing BS. I wouldn't mind a bit if they offered legendary minions less to discover in general.
I'm fine with that going across the board. But, especially discovering a legendary from another class. Tone that shit down please.
Thanks Hearthpwn for the accurate prediction on a coming nerf, and when it comes live I can dust for around 2000 dusts from excess cards :P~~~
I just wonder why blizzard nerfs Imprisoned Scrap Imp and Scavenger's Ingenuity .... since these cards are at T3 or below of the meta play... cannot see these in T1.
Scrap imp and ingenuity are having a lot more impact than you are giving them credit for. Ingenuity has become a powerhouse in the newer face hunter builds, getting a 3 mana 4/4 charge when you pull stonetusk boar is extremely powerful, and the 5/6 phase stalker does some work as well. Based on yesterday's VS report, there are 3 hunter decks in tier 2, with highlander hunter as the second best deck in the game, so it makes sense to try and tone down hunter a bit so it doesn't just take over with the warrior/DH nerfs.
Scrap imp zoo is also a serious deck, and scrap imp has become degenerate. The entire deck revolves around drawing scrap imp, with a 15+ point increase in your winrate if you have it on turn 2. It has gotten to the point where bluegill warrior and wolfrider are seeing play to capitalize on the buff as quickly as possible. Even if zoo isn't a balance problem, having a single card with that much power is concerning.
Ye, T3 deck with 49% win rate and 1.9% popularity in the meta is very serious for sure...
i often play warlock and true, i often dream of having Imprisoned Scrap Imp early since my WR is much higher statistically after its play. Otherwise I can only rely on the Magic Carpet which is a easier single target for my opps .... much less reliable :P~~~
What i mean is ... Warlock is having a hard life recently :P~~~ and please leave some room for him
Ingenuity is a core part of an OTK combo deck. Of course it's in the line for a nerf. Can't be having combo decks now, can we? Most hated archetype by a lot of players, and frequently hit by nerfs over the years; it's a shaky deck even with Ingenuity as is, and with the nerf, you're looking at frequently 6/6 boars, which need five, so... three of (wildtamer|Party) for an actual OTK. 4 boars for 24 instead of three for 21 is roughly the same as now, so doesn't kill the deck, I think. Hitting Scrap shot would have been a harder hit, but wouldn't have been as wide, as ingenuity sees play elsewhere.
Exactly what I was thinking and exactly what I'm gonna do.
No change to the dead fucking drag of a bore of brain dead res Priest.
Thanks. Can stick to Legends of Runeterra. No need to deal with the boring slog of 30 minute Priest games.
Res priest is garbage and sees virtually no play at high levels. Galakrond priest still exists, and is a slow control deck, but if you have a problem with the existence of slow control decks I really can't see how you are enjoying runeterra with its much slower pace of play.
Hearthstone is trash
What the fuck Priest deck has ever run Northshire Cleric since Lyra? And no Priest ever fucking run Velen.
Most of the basic cards that are actually run were buffed significantly. And then they got Ruin.
You have no clue what you're talking about. I'll concede Velen hasn't seen play in a while, but it has definitely seen some play in the past. (Usually in scenarios involving Mind Blast) But Cleric? That card was in most Priest decks that didn't have a resurrection plan. Remember when Combo Priest was a commonly seen deck in the Uldum meta?
How in the world do they not nerf altruis? Is it because they are too proud to admit their last "nerf" was completely useless?
Also, I'm going to miss using Soul Mirror on a DH board that included priestess, and ending with my own priestess smashing their face. DH gets dumped on when you get your own priestess by mirror or thoughtsteal.
3rd balance changes after expansion? Really?...
