Because it's a Brawl that already existed before and they didn't add it. Maybe it's a bit lazy but it's ok.

Considering you're not playing in a ladder and the results won't affect you in any way.. what's the problem?

Disappointing.  So many neat things that could be done with brawls, this seems like the laziest possible option.

Random may be funny sometimes.

Atleast it's one with short games so it's good for gold farming

We just had two custom deck brawls. Well, one had the random spells on top of it, but still, two custom decks in a row is relatively unusual.

Also people want brawls to be different than normal ranked games. 

Yeah people want them different but not like that. Remember all those tavern brawls in which you played as a boss from an adventure. That feels like what tavern brawls were supposed to be.

I know, and this one is not the best one of them all, but anytime a brawl comes out that has any amount of RNG involved these comments pop out. 

The last one before this was basically like playing ranked, just with different sets. I don't see a lot of point to it, but I don't really complain about it because after all, brawls last one week. They're quite different from one another so it's logical that one you don't like will pop out at some point. 

Sure, those you mentioned are better than this, but one of those a week would be a lot of work.
