Second Balance Patch Coming Next Week - Nerf to Millhouse & Larger BG Patch Coming
Dean Ayala just tweeted out the names of the cards that will be nerfed (and buffed!) as well as some details about Battlegrounds game mode, namely that Millhouse Manastorm Hero will get nerfed and that a larger scale BG Patch is planned for mid expansion. Read the details below:
Quote from BlizzardThe second Ashes of Outland balance patch is planned for early next week. Looking to make changes to
- Battlefiend
- Altruis the Outcast
- Glaivebound Adept
- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Bad Luck Albatross
- Frenzied Felwing
- Open the Waygate
- Bloodbloom
- and Sacrificial Pact.
Details will come later on official channels.
Quote from BlizzardThis update will also include a buff to Libram of Justice and a nerf to Millhouse in BG. We'll continue to monitor live game data and player feedback and make any further changes as necessary.
Quote from BlizzardOur expectation is that changes will slow down a little after this, at least in terms of card nerfs in constructed game modes. We have a larger battlegrounds update planned around mid-expansion. We hope you are enjoying Ashes of Outland and look forward to hearing your feedback.
Bad luck albatross nerf prediction - 4 mana 4/3. Deathrattle: Shuffle 2 random 1 cost minions into your opponent's deck.
Nah. The thing is it is a tech card which counters too many decks. Your nerf will make it be a weak counter vs what it was supposed to be good against (Highlander), but do it will be just as strong vs "pure" and spell-only decks.
My guess for Bad Luck Albatross is shuflling two class card (maybe from classic).
"Nerf to Millhouse" now that's a sentence I never thought I'd see.
Well, he'sgetting nerfed as a hero in BG.
But still, it's an useless minion noone uses but can become a turn 2 4/7 with Dark Profecy.
I am well aware that he is getting nerfed in BG - but thanks for pointing it out.
More dust - awwww yeah!
My guess for Bad Luck Albatross is the two 1/1's go on top of the deck so they are drawn next. Keep the power of the card intact but help highlander and paladin decks big time.
I see, this wouldn't be bad tbh but its effect "Especially with priest" of getting infinite value is too much and placing them on top would kill the game.
that would make the card even more broken because you're getting the effect of drawing two 1/1 immediately instead of later. good thing you're not a dev 'cause you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.
two 1/1 on top? i would be more powerfull, you van freeze your oponnent by 2 turns if he dont get any play for your board
That would be the most broken card in the history of Hearthstone. Are you serious?
This is my official buff prediction: Whatcha think?
They'll probably reduce the mana cost.
No. It will cost 5 imho.
Counter too many things, even when don't counter, like playing vs galakrond decks the card is not useless because make the opponent have bad draws in the deck and all of this with a good 4/3 body for 3 manas, the nerf probably will increase the cost or reduce the status.
Open the Waygate should never have been able to stack. If thats all they change then it's fine again imo
I disagree. The reason it was a little more balanced when it came out was because of how few card generators there were at the time. Even with the small amount in the game, only a few were majorly viable. Off the top of my head, the three that stick out are Primordial Glyph, Babbling Book, and Cabalist's Tome. Two of the three of these are quite slow. Nowadays, there are just way too many generators for this deck, as we can see. You take cards like Magic Trick, Ray of Frost, which shouldn't even really get that trigger off the second cast, Licensed Adventurer, Mana Cyclone, and now Evocation.
I hate making predictions like this, but I think this deck will still be strong depending on how they nerf it. Even if they double the amount of spells needed to complete it, it will still be viable. It's going to be like when they had to nerf The Caverns Below because making it take longer to complete doesn't necessarily make it that much worse.
I remember when Caverns was the first card post Beta to receive two individual nerfs... and it was still played after both nerfs.
Apart from Vargoth problem, this shit needs a serious change in reward, maybe a half turn, i love mages, but this i hate this otk generator..
