Second Balance Patch Coming Next Week - Nerf to Millhouse & Larger BG Patch Coming
Dean Ayala just tweeted out the names of the cards that will be nerfed (and buffed!) as well as some details about Battlegrounds game mode, namely that Millhouse Manastorm Hero will get nerfed and that a larger scale BG Patch is planned for mid expansion. Read the details below:
Quote from BlizzardThe second Ashes of Outland balance patch is planned for early next week. Looking to make changes to
- Battlefiend
- Altruis the Outcast
- Glaivebound Adept
- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Bad Luck Albatross
- Frenzied Felwing
- Open the Waygate
- Bloodbloom
- and Sacrificial Pact.
Details will come later on official channels.
Quote from BlizzardThis update will also include a buff to Libram of Justice and a nerf to Millhouse in BG. We'll continue to monitor live game data and player feedback and make any further changes as necessary.
Quote from BlizzardOur expectation is that changes will slow down a little after this, at least in terms of card nerfs in constructed game modes. We have a larger battlegrounds update planned around mid-expansion. We hope you are enjoying Ashes of Outland and look forward to hearing your feedback.
no secret mage nerfs, nice job blizzard nerfing some decks but leaving the worst of them free to continue reigning
Exit all Kael'thas OTK decks...
can someone explain why nerf Bad Luck Albatross. i'm not play much so dont understand. thanks!
It counters No-Duplicate decks quite heavily and only spell decks. It also stops Pure Paladin as you can't activate them because the tokens are neutrals.
Happy to see some quick and good nerfs, although Glaivebound Adept seems a little strange to me, personally I feel Priestess of Fury should be there instead but I can't complain, it's another strong card in DH's arsenal.
And nobody expected a buff to Libram of Justice of all things. From their mention of Pure paladin benefiting from the bird nerf and this buff leaves me to believe they are really trying to push Paladin into a better spot, which is good because it really does have great potential from all the great cards it received this expansion, it's just a victim of unfortunate circumstances right now.
Battlefiend is OP AF ,Thank god ,hopefully the nerf will be 1/1 and not stay at 2/2
hahaha lol evolve shamaan its not even tier 3
The most elegant nerf for sac pac would be to cost 3 mana if the target is friendly this card cost zero.
Sac Pack
0 mana
Sacrifice a friendly demon to grain 5 health.
The minions doesn't even need to be a demon. Just sacrafice a friendly minion would be fine for 0 mana 5 health
Ye, I think that would be only acceptable way of nerfing SP. Targeting only friendly demon is beyond unplayable for most Warlock decks. Targeting ANY friendly minion would have some potential though.
In a parallel universe, cubelock is crying tears of joy with this..
Because they literally make money off it? silly question.
No buffs to Priest? 30 minute games are just too short...
I only managed to get 1 priest deck - ressurect priest with 2-3 spell generators and it shows pretty good winrate and will be even better without all those face dh.
I'd like to see bloodbloom to 4 and The portal from Open the Waygate to 7 mana and make the user have to cast 8 spells from other classes for to recieve the portal.
How the fuck did Priestess of Fury not miss another balance patch?
Priestess of Fury concept is so annoying, a lot of split damage, with a possibilty to go face every turn if you dont remove it, and a good body, for 7 and no restrictions apart from cost, all or theses in a rare card, you can play twice ..But they print a legendary Reno with weaker body, with 4 more split damage, only once and without going face, for 6 and a huge restriction in deck building..OK! Reno can clean a board and leave you with a descent 4/6, but this, a 6/7 which also can clean and go face or fully go face, more than once easily, and can be played twice, for 1 more mana (if not discounted by Skull) and 1500 less dust/copy.. What were they thinking?
