Second Balance Patch Coming Next Week - Nerf to Millhouse & Larger BG Patch Coming
Dean Ayala just tweeted out the names of the cards that will be nerfed (and buffed!) as well as some details about Battlegrounds game mode, namely that Millhouse Manastorm Hero will get nerfed and that a larger scale BG Patch is planned for mid expansion. Read the details below:
Quote from BlizzardThe second Ashes of Outland balance patch is planned for early next week. Looking to make changes to
- Battlefiend
- Altruis the Outcast
- Glaivebound Adept
- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Bad Luck Albatross
- Frenzied Felwing
- Open the Waygate
- Bloodbloom
- and Sacrificial Pact.
Details will come later on official channels.
Quote from BlizzardThis update will also include a buff to Libram of Justice and a nerf to Millhouse in BG. We'll continue to monitor live game data and player feedback and make any further changes as necessary.
Quote from BlizzardOur expectation is that changes will slow down a little after this, at least in terms of card nerfs in constructed game modes. We have a larger battlegrounds update planned around mid-expansion. We hope you are enjoying Ashes of Outland and look forward to hearing your feedback.
If they would make it targetable, it would be a pretty good buff for the archetype overall. Making it available for Lady Liadrin to generate.
How would they make it targetable? Since lady liadrin only gives back spells cast on friendly characters, it would have to heal a friendly character or buff one. If it does that in conjuction with reducing all enemy minions' health and give you the weapon, it would be crazy. Maybe giving divine shield would be ok
I am surprised that they did not announce any warrior changes. The only warrior meta deck is on the very last place with 39,5% winrate.
Not true, eggwarior is doing eggcellent in the new meta. I'm having over 70% winrate in high legend with it :)
Not true what? Hsreplay is showing incorrect stats? Hm.
As a long time player I at first didn't think demon hunter needed another nerf. I play with lots of expensive cards so the difference in power level isn't so obvious compared to other classes, but since recently I'm helping a friend getting into hearthstone, and I must admit, demon hunter's core cards are really overpowered compared to other classes' cards. It's just a no brainer for someone that has only played a few hours to solely play demon hunter if he wants to win. No dust or cold required. Just 30 minutes to go through the demon hunter prologue.
My thought is either reduce mana or instead of equipping a 1/4 weapon, equip a better weapon - perhaps Truesilver Champion
reduce cost seems reasonable, the point of the card is to place an enemy only equality and you being able to face kill 1 target on play.
The weapon itself is inconsequential honestly
I think the libram is AWESOME and does exactly what I need it to do. I can't imagine why this would be the card to buff, but we'll see.
How will they buff libram of justice? Reducing the mana cost or something else in your opinion?
I hit the same wall your at when looking at the buff. The package is amazing as is (Getting a 1/4 weapon and setting all enemy minions health to 1). The only logical buff would be to reduce it to 5 mana (As 4 would not make sense since Equality is there). I think the reduction of 1 mana drastically allows Paladin to clear the board in 1 less turn which I have been in many games.
Sac pact definitely better be changed to friendly and not just that lol
R.I.P. DH
DH will be on par with other classes around the middle of the ladder ? that's a shame rly ... being able to play other clases finally ? hmmm i wonder about that
Thank god
Make battlefiend start as a 1/2, Altruis can't hit face, Glaivebound a 6/4 that deals 3, and Albatross like a 4 mana 2/2 or something and I'll be happy.
I don't really see altruis's problem being face damage, but i do agree on the rest.
Nah keep Altrius a 2/2 but change its text to read: gain +1 attack this turn if your hero attacked this turn.
your glaivebound changes would probably kill the card. it would be worse then fire elemental and that card hasn't seen play in a long time.
It definitely would not be worse. I assume you are thinking about it like both come out on turn 6 for 6 mana because you have to hero power with Demon Hunter first and then you basically end up with 6/4 fire elemental. That would be correct except the key thing you missed is that demon hunter has weapons they equip beforehand. So really you are still only paying 5 mana for the same effect. And paying 5 mana for a fire elemental that has 1 less HP is absolutely better. That is still some nasty tempo.
