All The Demon Hunter Nerfs - Now Live!
After making an announcement earlier today, Blizzard followed up with a post with the details of the Demon Hunter Nerfs. Several cards had mana changes and Aldrachi Warblades had a durability change. There were also offering rate changes to a whole host of Arena cards. These changes are live in game now. Read all the details below!
Quote from BlizzardHey everyone,
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be keeping an eye on the power level of Demon Hunter. Our goal is to make changes when necessary in order to get Demon Hunter to where we believe it should be. Today, we’ll be applying the following balance updates to a few Demon Hunter cards in a server-side patch (meaning you won’t have to download anything):
- Skull of Gul'dan – Mana cost increased from 5 to 6.
- Imprisoned Antaen – Mana cost increased from 5 to 6.
- Eye Beam – Outcast Mana cost increased from 0 to 1.
- Aldrachi Warblades – Durability decreased from 3 to 2.
We wanted to get these changes out the door today, and in doing so you will only see the new stats for these cards—displayed in both red and green—in matches, not in your Collection. The red and green numbers will return to white and the cards will be updated in your Collection with a data-only patch that we’re expecting to deploy before the end of the day tomorrow.
For Arena, we’re making changes today that will see Demon Hunter class card offering rates decreased until we’re able to properly address the class with more accurate micro-adjustments in a future patch. The following cards have had their offering rates reduced in Arena:

yeah, and now after the nerfs gala warlock is the best deck, nice, cant wait for these idiots to nerf dh even more cuz babies think he is "sTiLL oP"
I think you are talking about Dragon Handlock
Cool, I won every game against DH now, so easy :)
But I think they should little nerg pala now, it's too OP.
How much time I have to dust the cards for full value?
Not really, there are plenty of decks that do well, now that the nerfs are online.
Odd Demon Huntr was just one of the stupidest thing that has ever happened. I'd say it was even stronger than Undertaker Hunter.
is this new meta going to be a four month of demo hunter?
Twin Slice.
1mana
Outcast: Costs 0
With the same outcast on Second Slice.
Please Blizzard.
Twin Slice is insubstantial. Skull of Guldan is still borderline OP. Probably the best card in the game right now.
Skull of Gul'dan has the lowest winrate in tempo DH if played
Two expansions now where they release things in a broken state and knee jerk react nerf. What is going on over there.
I must say it is a bit surprising that the nerfs came this quick. This quick means they already had them ready to go before the expansion was live, but if that's the case, why didn't they have them in place before this was all released?
And no, I'm not a tinfoil idiot thinking they are just doing this for some convoluted way to increase money. But it does speak of some "issues" on their side, maybe they're short staffed or rushed the expansion? I'm a computer engineer, t happens, and I'm glad they addressed it as quick as they did. Bit it just is... odd...
or they've just got their entire team doing nothing and ready to go because they're stuck work-from-home because of coronavirus?
Problem is though, none of these changes really effect that main problem DH deck which is the Kael'thas combo deck. Since They always play Skull of Gul'dan for free anyway, the Eye Beam nerf is the only half decent nerf in here. Priestess of Fury is also a far more impactful card than Imprisoned Antean but that didn't get touched. In my opinion though the class has too many problems to fix with just a couple of tiny mana cost changes. Like them having a 1 card 0-cost way to proc Kael'thas easily with Twin Slice.
The class' winrate overall dropped by 4-5 points after the nerf, it now is at barely 51%. It's fine.
Oh common, there are infinitively more op decks like ress priest and they nerfed demon hunter day 2 just because it as a cheap and decent deck? If they keep that nerf im leaving this shitty game, sorry but blizzard just is becoming more and more a P2W company
Are u serious? DH has 4 viable decks with all of them having a winrate of 52-59% EVEN AFTER THE NERFS!
That's just false. 54% is DH's highest winrate. And it's probably dropped from there by now. Stop spreading lies.
still crappy class which i seen, I would remove this from my game interface if I could. Instead of make players happy and glad this company pisses off them
once you get all the cards from a rarity, then obviously you will start getting random ones, so it is possible to still get the ones you disenchanted from packs
Except all of those cards and all of the best DH carda were given to all players for free but hey I guess that it is easier to be stupid
