Demon Hunter Nerfs Coming Today - Blizzard Developers Tweet
In a series of tweets Blizzard devs today announced that Balance changes were coming to Demon Hunter as soon as later TODAY. They initially have their eye on the following cards: Skull of Gul'dan, Imprisoned Antaen, Eye Beam, and Aldrachi Warblades. Balance changes are also planned for Arena mode and even further Balance changes are planned for late next week. Read all the information in the tweets below!
Quote from BlizzardWe're planning on making some balance changes that should go out today. Cards we're looking at are Skull of Gul'dan, Imprisoned Antaen, Eye Beam, and Aldrachi Warblades. We'll send out the final info from our official channels when it's ready.
Quote from BlizzardWe're also making some adjustments to Demon Hunter in Arena. We don't have enough data to make large scale micro-adjustments, but we're opting to make balance changes by hand while we wait for the normal full patch to take place.
Quote from BlizzardAs for Demon Hunter class balance, we'd like to keep the class-defining pieces more powerful while pulling back on the cards that make DH feel like it's good at everything.
Quote from BlizzardThe expectation should be that there will be a lot of balance iteration over the next few weeks. We'll be making changes a little more frequently until we feel that DH is in a fun, unique, and balanced state.
Quote from BlizzardWe have another patch planned for late next week that will address any further changes we want to make to Constructed, Battlegrounds, or Arena.

Nerf that 7/4 {that does 4 damage if hero attacked. So OP AND BROKEN! really makes me wanna quit hearthstone for good and been playing since 2016 and noticed so much bullshit metas during those times and this is as worse as shudderwock debuted, shit fuck this game for now
Did they do any play testing whatsoever? This and last expansion's knee jerk Shaman nerfs indicate they do not.
Sucks they didn't nerf Battlefiend. Yesterday had a game where, at turn 3, I was left at 19 health and the only card the DH played was that one.
Remember Small-Time Buccaneer? That used to have 2hp. It was incredibly powerful, since 90% of the time it was a 1-mana 3-2. This new card is even stronger than that. 90% of the time it's a 1-mana 3-2 that gets even more attack
MTG has had cards banned before a single tournament took place. They have a constantly running banlist for every format and guess what, you get NOTHING for the cards people spend hundreds of dollars on.
Don't ever compare the greed of anything to "old school paper CCGs". They are the worst of the bunch in every possible way.
Demon hunter nerfs ok they where needi but eye beam is bugged.
Draw eye beam with outcast skull of guldan cost 3 less is then 0, if it become outcast of cost 1 more.
Fix "Outcast: Cost 2 less"
I didn't open a lot of packs & I didn't craft anything yet, so... I'm OK.
Well if you didnt get legend in 1 day, that's your fault.
Having a Life
What’s so bad about that? It’s just like micro machine... oh wait, that started 1/2, and it cost 2... but it did grow twice as fast and didn’t require you to attack... yeah having it as a 1-drop is absurd you’re right.
I'm sorry, but that's total corporate bullshit talk.
Here is the truth. They intentionally made DH super OP so they could create hype and sell as many pre-orders as possible. Now that they've sold those pre-orders they are immediately nerfing the cards to bring them back into balance. Do the customers have any recourse, can they get their money back? No, of course not, they get DUST. This kind of thing could never fly back in the old days of collectible card gaming when you actually had to PRINT cards and put them in real life packs. But now? Blizzard can do whatever they want.
In my opinion, this tactic is so excessively greedy that it's just shameful. Just make a good game with flavorful classes and decent balance and people will play it.
I just feel stupid now for geting back after having abandoned the game for a year, getting into the hype and buying the 2 pre orders...
They don't need the players to understand that Skull of Guldan is too good. I hope they are playtesting at least. They released it this way to earn money. Nothing else.
Holy shit, that is actually disgusting. This is false advertisement at it's finest.
I mean, I hate the class so far (boring to play with, boring to play against), but don't release cards you know are too strong to fool people into purchasing packs and then nerfing the cards they wanted right away. Disgusting.
Most of the Demon Hunter cards are free lol. If anything, the changes benifit the people who ARE spending money.
You do understand that what makes a deck good is a mix of cards, right? You want both free cards and not free cards in a Demon Hunter deck. And no, it's not benefiting the guys who bought packs because they liked the Demon Hunter cards..
Yeah I agree it's called creating a problem and selling u the solution it's a disgusting corporate practice
Define boring to play?
That's just my personal opinion but I feel like they are very, very linear atm do to the limited card pool. Every game feels the same and my control DH only feels like a slower midrange DH, not an etire different deck like it should.
