17.0 Hotfix Update - Returning Player Experience And Other Fixes
Blizzard just posted about an array of fixes that have gone out or will go out in the next few days, including to Kingsbane and Clever Disguise cards and the Returning Player experience as well as the currently unsolvable Boomsday Project Puzzles being fixed on April 9th. Read all the details below.
Quote from BlizzardWe are currently in the process of putting out a few hotfixes for issues introduced after the 17.0 update. Please note that these fixes take place on the server side, so you should not need to download anything if you’ve updated to 17.0.
- We’ve identified and fixed an issue that could cause the game to fail to offer some eligible players the Returning Player Experience. Affected players should now receive the appropriate quest line when logging into Hearthstone.
- Whizbang the Wonderful will no longer offer decks with cards that have moved to the Hall of Fame.
- Kingsbane will now correctly be destroyed and shuffled into your deck when it reaches 0 durability.
- Living Roots, when disenchanted, now properly gives the amount of dust of a common instead of an epic. However, its gem rarity will not be updated until Monday (3/30).
- Invoke cards will now no longer appear from cards that generate other cards.
- Clever Disguise will now correctly function as intended when played.
This coming Monday (3/30), we’re planning to deploy a data-only patch that addresses a couple more issues:
- Darkness Awaits will no longer be incorrectly marked as collectible in the Collection.
- Basic cards will no longer be incorrectly earned from Arena rewards.
- Living Roots’s gem rarity will be corrected from Epic to Common.
There are several known issues that will self-resolve on 4/7 when the Demon Hunter and Ashes of Outland unlock:
- Felfin Navigator will correctly appear in the Battlegrounds minion pool.
- The Battlegrounds Perks button will correctly function as intended when clicked.
- The new Priest cards will correctly appear in the Arena card pool.
- Demon Hunter Initiate cards will no longer be granted by completing Galakrond’s Awakening Chapters.
- Hallucination and Blink Fox will work correctly when played against Demon Hunter in Practice Mode.
- Curious Glimmerroot will no longer cause client crashes when played against Demon Hunter in Practice Mode.
- The Search Bar in the Collection will correctly function as intended, and will no longer jump to the top of the screen.
Additionally, there are a few Boomsday Project Puzzles that can no longer be completed now because of card changes introduced in 17.0. We’re planning to deploy a fix for Boomsday Project Puzzles on April 9.
We are investigating several other reports and will keep you posted as we know more. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience while we get some of these bugs squashed!
Just posting this in case any of you were wondering why you got so many 50 Gold Quests lately:
Well then...
reckless experimenter is not working ok cz u can't reduce sn1p sn4p cost to 0
Echo cards can't go under 1 mana now
I don't understand how they can fuck random cards like Kingsbane and Living roots so hard in a patch which has literally nothing to do with these cards. My mind can't comprehend the level of spaghetti in HS's source code.
All code is spaghetti code if you work with it long enough.
small indie company
if you are new player and want to try arena, you must wait until new expansion release
I found a bug the other day too. If you use Mass Hysteria and the big boy 8/3/12 on the field kills a minion (before using his normal attack), it can attack face twice. I have the prints. I assume that the code counts the normal attack, and the extra attack, but this should only work if it already attacked. If it didn't attack yet, he will be able to hit face twice
I suppose you're talking about Batterhead, and I have also noticed this interesting interaction between him and Mass Hysteria, I managed to get even more than 1 extra attack, in case he kills two different minions in Mass Hysteria. Not sure if it's a bug though.
When you get him out of duel and he attacks a minion and doesn't kill it, he can attack another time as well.
It is strange because the wording says "it can attack again" (meaning it already attacked) and not "it gains an extra attack". It may not be a bug but I was surprised when it happened haha
Same doubt I had when seeing how Gonk works while reading his text, man. But since they didn't fix it, it's how it is intended to work. For Batterhead must be the same.
Wow, I experienced my first hearthstone bug the other day. The one where Clever Disguise would give no cards.
It was odd and when I looked it up, people already posted about it and it's already fixed.
I no longer have a hero portrait for any of my heroes.
Of course not, like moving it to classic with new decks or let it rotate but create wild decks for it, the only real bad solution is the one they chose for this potentially great card...
Let's hope they change their mind
There is a bug that causes invoke cards to be in the pool even if you don't have and have never had Galakrond in your deck. It was intended that they would enter the pool only if you had Galakrond at some point (including if you gained him through something like Thoughtsteal). Because of the bug they declared that they would undo the change until such a time as they could fix that bug.
Kingsbane is still bugged after Doomerang
Definitely, this turned out to a hot-half-fix.
I would like to know if its working as intended that I dusted a bunch of common cards from the latest expansion even though I do not own all of the common cards yet.
