Theorycrafting Livestreams - Thursday March 26th
Blizzard has announced that the Theorycrafting Livestreams that were absent for Descent of Dragons will make a return this expansion. Streams will begin at 9am PT/ 12pm ET/ 17:00 CET/ 16:00 GMT on a variety of channels.
Quote from BlizzardWatch your favorite streamers lead the charge against the Rusted Legion as they get an early look at #AshesOfOutland on March 26!
People are being completely silly, if they think everyone is going to run netdecks created during this stream on day 1, then theorycraft your own deck that beats those decks. Pretending that this somehow takes your ability away to create your decks is just making excuses. If you can't come up with decks better than the net decks then it is tantamount to admitting you'd come up with worse decks than them. Theorycrafting your own decks is all about the concept of perfecting it, if you give up because others are using decks made by other people, then you are just admitting you never actually intended to optimize your deck in the first place.
It's part of the fun to build your own deck and try it out in a new fresh meta. BUT the problem is that many players will just pick up those decks created by pros on day 1. My decks will probably be constantly crushed! So, I am tempted to take these pros decks, try them out and adapt them to the meta I am playing in by teching them to take on the most popular decks.
I agree this devalues the feeling of day-1 experiments. I wonder if there is an alternative format they could use to avoid this, for example turn it into a small tournament with no practice with the new cards beforehand. That way they could only play each deck a couple of times so there isn't enough playtime to get a feel for how powerful each deck is. The format they use isn't really "theorycrafting", it's just playing the expansion early.
good luck on the giveaways we know is coming rip bandwidth
So the meta will be figured out before even expansion comes out..? Great, seems like I'll be playing mostly wild after two weeks after the expansion release.
i totally agree with the guys saying that this stuff should be done after the expansion gets released, this in my opinion speeds up the meta becoming stale so quickly i personally think the expansion sells itself, yes i also never watch this stuff myself so i can experience the experience for myself. but anyway super excited for this expansion always am, going to be great :)
They should really push up the release of the expansion if they are going to do this crap. These people, most of whom dont even play constructed, get to figure out the expansion a whole 2 weeks before the rest of us peasants. Nobody I've seen ever asked to see these back.
Just dont watch. I never do. Lots of people played with the cards at the summit too right? Big deal. Close yer eyes and play when it comes out.
if you close your eyes, it doesn't mean it dint happen
Closing your eyes doesn't stop the meta from being solved, the game will still become stale faster and not watching the stream does nothing.
The meta wont be solved. A small group of people playing the game for a few hours just kicks it off. It will be the millions of people in the days and weeks to come that will solve it. But yes, at first everyone will be playing the decks they saw on stream.
Which in turn will kill any amount of fun or viability when it comes to experimentation. Everyone will play the safe, proven decks that come from the stream (because who can blame them), and experimental decks will have awful winrates because they aren't as well defined as a deck that came right from the hands of an exceptionally skilled player.
I mean the streams are very fun. Getting all streamers together to play the new expansion is gunna be a good time. I just wished they would at least wait for the expansion to be out for everyone before they did it.
It's weird that Blizzard recognizes that one of the problems Hearthstone has is that the meta gets stale too quickly after a new expansion but they insist on getting all the streamers together to publicly help make the meta stale. Exactly 16 players get to play the expansion at the most fun it will ever be and the rest of the 100 million players get to play after half the meta is already figured out.
Where is Zetalot?
Really getting tired of this diversity crap.
You don't get tired of insults and hate speech though
This community is so toxic, racist and misogynistic sometimes...
Dislike. But it's fine, I just won't watch any. And hopefully the people who choose to watch enjoy it.
