Hyped for Paladin.
Salhet's Pride draws both of the new murlocs. Legendary and Imprisoned.
This could have been A'dal.
Great more murlocs
If there's some new big murlocs coming, then this card would be good even in non-murloc decks.
If this is my free legendary, I'm not going to be happy.
and here I was hoping Vindicator Maraad would show up as the second paladin legendary, and with some sweet libram synergies to boot.

Honestly though, would you look at that. 25 Paladin legendarys of which only about 3 were ever truly deck defining. But hey, at least this gives us another attempt at making Murloc Paladin work.
I feel like folks are sleeping on the fact that if there was a non-legendary 2/1 Divine Shield Murloc card, it'd be an automatic two-of card in any murloc or aggro Paladin. The initial body is solid.
If you play the prime as a reload in the late game, great. But even without the deathrattle, this would still be good. Exciting as a legendary? Maybe not, but still a good card.
This seems like a fun wild card, at least.
Maraad and Yrel would be more fit for WoD expansion if we ever get one tbh, Maraad wasnt really that relevant back in tbc and Yrel is a WoD character.
While this card is dumb, and it's really dumb to add a murloc as the paladin legend of this set, at the very least it's a pretty good card. The base version is the usual fine I guess card, but the prime is pretty strong in stats. If we consider the average murloc as a 2/2, that is 8/8 with divine shield, plus the 6/3 divine shield body. That's a pretty sticky board with some really solid stats for 8 mana.
Biggest issue is that it doesn't really do anything when it comes out. It is just stats. And is that really enough, when all the other primes have pretty strong effects when they hit the board? Even the druid one can have a 9/9 rush body. I can't help but feel the 6/3 needed rush as well.
Also I'd ignore the murloc tag for the most part. It's more a solid rush of stats when you play the prime. Fact that they're murlocs is going to be relatively irrelevant unless you hit something like a warleader, or you are actually playing the imprisoned murloc.

Damn I keep coming back hoping this was April 1st, god damn I was excited with the Librams, what a way to ruin the fun. Lets hope there are some insane large Murlocs within the pool to make this viable. Still will run it in any Paladin deck lol.
I don't think anyone at blizzard plays the paladin cards they make. I don't understand how basically any of the legionaries in the last year would have gotten made if they were actually playing with the cards.
Just feeels slow for a merloc deck. WithPrismatic Lens leaving there isn’t a way to get Tip the Scalesout quick.
maybe more Merloc’s will come.
Counterpoint: Murgur Murgurgle is a strong on-curve body. He's basically Shotbot or Shielded Minibot, which were both playable even without resorting to tribal synergies, and this dude will line up well with other murlocs. If it was just a non-legendary 2-cost 2/1 Divine Shield Murloc with no other text, it'd be a 2-of in any Murloc paladin.
Meanwhile, due to the Prime deathrattle mechanic, you probably won't get the prime until later in the game anyhow, and that's when a huge 8-mana reload would be most important.
So, this is how the meta dies: in a thunderous murrruuullllrrrrg!
Seeing the librams hmm interesting, seeing the awesome prime legendaries all the other classes get. OMG I BET WE WILL GET A AWESOME LEGENDARY PALADIN LIKE VINDICTOR MARAAD THAT WILL BRING BACK CONTROL PALADIN ,WHERE YOU FEEL LIKE A REAL FUCKING PALADIN.
Blizzard: Murgur Murgurgle! :)
For all of the Hearthstone's team's stress of class identity, I'll never understand why Paladin is a Murloc class. Seriously, a class of honor and righteousness employs.... Murlocs?
Even Murlocs feel the pull of the light. I mean, there's a reason the Diablo III Crusader Johanna chose Murky to be her apprentice.
