Broken card.
The cards flavor should be "Get top dicked KEKW"
this is undeniably strong (and generally good enough even without the bonus since Siphon Soul is a must in all control warlock decks but this is bad game design where it rewards you for top decking it more than so than if you needed removal anyway and top decked removal and then it just feels terrible if you need it like the next turn after you draw it, outcast is at least better cause it can at least meet it's trigger again if it makes it to be your left most card along with most of those cards are pretty good even without their bonus this is just kinda good enough due to it's class and feels bad if you don't get it's effect when you want it
Well, didn't think this would create quite the storm that it did. Oh well.
Fantastic card. Having a slightly worse Flikk is fine for warlock. But the top deck potential is pretty brutal with it. Only issue is it is a good top deck if you either have the mana to play another minion, or have one out already, and there in lies the rub. Control warlock, or handlock, typically can only play 1 minion a turn, and really doesn't run minions that cost 4 or less. So having a target to save from the nuke may happen pretty inconsistently, do you may end up having to spare an opponents token more often than not. Can still cut down wide boards nicely, but can't do much against a tall board that has traded you out.
However, these are niche top deck scenarios. More often than not, I'd imagine we'll see it being run as a typical 3/3 kill a guy. Which, for warlock, is pretty nice. And don't forget, your opponent only needs to control 2 minions, and you 0, for his top deck effect to still be just kill a guy. Just don't target the one you really want to die. I guarantee there will be more than a few misplays in the first month.
-Edit-
And now I see there might have been a translation error somewhere and it might be that if you topdeck him, he works as a twisting nether on legs? Ok, that makes him better in my eyes. I am expecting there to be the heaviest control warlock as a deck, that uses every hard and mass removal option it has, as well as a shadow council+scrap imp package. Having more niche removal like this guy works fine in that deck, as it's an option, and if you don't use the option, turns into a threat.
Maybe they want force Plot twist handlock.
I don't see this being used.
In order to play it, you have to be losing board and you have to top deck it that turn on turn 6 or later. This is literally Siphon Soul with a body, without the healing, and you can't play it the turn you draw it and need it if you're winning board and just need a single threat removed.
Can't people see it not official translation. Did everybody miss that and ranting for nothing.
Great card, similar to Flik skyshiv, and a fantastic topdeck.
Outcast is locked to demonhunter though.
another card for Mecha'thun
1)Mecha'Thun is rotating
2)That combo would require 16 mana
3)Even if you did that combo, since this was still on the board, mecha'thun wouldn't activate.
Not in wild. This card will be very good in even reno mecha'thun. I agree with city100
Yeah, it's not that stupid. I'm kind of thinking the people who can't see multiple interpretations of this card might be a little dim.
It could easily be construed that if you play this card on the turn it's drawn, you get to select another minion who would survive. Like a Brawl.
In the end, I'm sure it's not, but I can certainly understand the confusion.
Respectfully, the only people who think the two interpretations matter are too dim to think about how the game works.
This minion, like other minions that can target, can't target itself unless the game reworks its mechanics, so if the 2nd interpretation was implemented, it would literally destroy itself if the enemy only had one minion and you had none.
Just think a little and pull your head out of your Dire Mole
conditionless hard removal on a 6 mana 3/3 body or a conditional near-nether if you top deck it exactly when you need it.
More often than not its base effect will happen which may be good if enough slow decks exist.
So if you are playing this you are reliant on having good RNG with Plot Twist or godly RNG with hero power or your regular draw. Maybe with more stats this could be decent, since there won't be a way to tutor this when you want to, but in the best case scenario 6 mana board wipe with you having 3/3 in the board afterwards is quite strong.
For gods sake.
If you target a minion it destroys it.
If you play keli'dan the turn you draw him he destroys every Minion except himself (deathwing style)
Weak card. Basically a siphon soul that can work as twisting nether. This should cost 5 mana.
So you're saying a six mana card or an eight mana card choice should cost 5? Well played.
Yeah man
