wow.. in that case this is really bad card.. :D but i guess you just never play it until there is space on the board..
Dormant is not a battlecry that can be mitigated by that spell.
I already realised that, but thx!)
nice addition for quest druid deck! thx!
Hellfire says hello!
Is this an early april fools joke or an attempt to one-up Dragonqueen Alexstrasza as the most broken card in the game?
This card has insane warlock potential when combined with Hellfire. For 7 mana and two cards, you can clear the board, summon a 12/12 and deal 3 damage to both players.
7 Mana?
his hellfire is a special snowflake
I mis-read his cost as 3, not 4. The rest of the comment still stands.
Like The Darkness was a kinda counter to Highlander decks, Magtheridon is a counter to mass res priest. Which won't get rotated out till next year. It's like Mossy Horror was introduced to counter Spreading Plague and Giggling Inventor. Or Skulking Geist was a counter to Jade Idol. A counter to a popular card that isn't introduced until a later expansion. To some people this card is useless or a pack filler, to me, if mass res priest is still 30% of the ladder it becomes a viable auto-include. At worst this card is just kinda "Meh." at best it becomes a meta breaker. Ofcourse there are other cards that delude the pool for mass res priest, but this is a 1 of that puts 3 1/3 garbage tokens on the board. These things happen.
I could be wrong, but I've got a strong feeling that this card counters any deck that has ever existed, not just mass res Priest
Fair enough. My mindset when I saw this card was that it's just another Darkness esq card. Then my mind thought of how The Darkness later became a tech against Highlander decks, which is why I only thought of this card as a counter to Mass Res priest. And as I'm typing this my mind now goes to thinking that if this card is played against a token deck, they just buff the 1/3 minions making them more powerful, harder to kill, and extra bodies for Savage Roar/Bloodlust. Again, just my opinion.
I assume if the opponents board is full then then this clears and awakens since the cards are technically milled in that case (and milled cards die), or am i missing something?
No, summon minion effects only trigger if there is board space. If your enemy doesn't have room it will fail to summon three wardens and there will be no way to activate its effect it.
There are SO many things that can go wrong with this card resulting in you never getting the effect.
it's great follow up with Fool's Bane or Warglaives of Azzinoth.
I think you can't evolve into minions which don't auto awaken.
It only took like two years of evolving stuff into The Darkness for that to happen, too.
Shadowstep a Warder, Ruin the opponent's day.
