What Do You Wish For The Next Expansion?
Last month Blizzard announced that they'll have more information on what's coming next for Hearthstone in mid March. That means we are rapidly coming up on this date and that it's about time we posed this question to you:
What do you wish for the next expansion? It can be anything. A theme. A game mechanic. The absence of something. Anything.
So, pretend you have Zephrys the Great in front of you and that he will give the exact thing you ask for.
What do you wish for Hearthstone's next expansion?
Double class game mode. Like Halloween Arena, but constructed
Do you realize what kind of a mess that would be to keep balanced?
A periodically rotating banned card list!
Every 2-4 weeks a set of 10-25 cards will be removed from the standard card pool (like a temporal hall of fame). I would be cool if players could vote on what to ban, but blizzard picked bans would also work as long as they would pick impactful cards.
The bans could be thematic, one rotation all galakronds are banned, next rotation ban all the core aggro cards, other rotation ban all the singleton cards, maybe on some rotations completely destroy one class, get rid of all weapon removal for a weapon extravaganza, make big minion rotation by removing all "destroy" and silence effects, sometimes go crazy make banless rotation all cards allowed!
Possibilities are endless it could keep standard fresh without depending only on adding more cards and balance patches.
An anti-hero tech card. Something like Battlecry: if your opponent's hero has changed since the start of the game, do X. For balance, it would probably be something like destroy a minion (or deal equivalent damage to destroying a medium sized minion) or draw 2 cards. Right now almost nothing interacts with the fact that your opponent gets a strong upgrade if they play a new hero (the hero power interacting cards have never been that good), so it'd be nice if there were something, given that 6 classes are going to still have new heroes after rotation, all of which being very playable.
I want for newbies an easier time to be competitive on ladder:
buff all the crappy basic cards (so not Fireball, but all the cards that *never* see play - like Booty Bay Bodyguard or Silverback Patriarch). Not so much that they actually see play from old timers like me, but enough to make them viable among beginners.
I'd wish for more Zephrys the Great "thinking ahead XD"
I want Black Temple!
honestly a f**kin win condition for priest, a cheap board clear and a playable class taunt minion.
more removal/healing for pries that no one will use the meta is going aggro baby High Priest Amet in standard and youll know what that means
Allow the ability to hide cards in your collection.
I don’t need to see regular Sathrovarr, and I can’t dust. Let me hide golden (or regular) Basic cards etc.
Bless you, young man, wonderful idea.
I don't need to see regular cards when I have the golden version.
Allow players to make their own modes. I would love the opportunity to play starting with 10 mana, choosing cards from multiple classes, or change deck size and limits.
It may be too soon, but I would love lobbies of this sort.
Customization allows games to be epic and fun in a different way that is more interesting than conventional methods. Some of my favorite times playing Age of Mythology, Halo 3, or Overwatch have on player created maps and modes.

A tournament mode where players pay an entry fee in gold. The fees go into a pool that will be given to the winner and finalist..70/30. Each tournament could have different rules like all players play mirror matches or aggro or decks with no taunts etc... Control would not fit in this format as matches last too long. Fun way to win (or lose) a lot of gold.
I love this idea, but there may be some problems implementing it because of gambling laws.
I may be wrong but to my knowledge gambling laws apply to real money. Here it's just gold, the game's currency, that cannot be traded nor given.
I quite like the idea, but wouldn't it be open to abuse? I could make a bunch of free accounts, do the daily quests to acquire gold, and then enter the tourney with just my free accounts, and transfer 70% of the gold to my main account by throwing the matches.
