Galakrond's Awakening Adventure - Chapter 4 Guide
Today is the release of the Galakrond's Awakening Adventure Chapter 4, the final chapter, and we have gathered all the info you need!
What is Galakrond's Awakening?
Galakrond's Awakening is a solo adventure in the classic Adventure style, where you can play through the story with pre-made decks and unlock collectible cards on normal mode and play through with self made decks on Heroic for some Card Backs. The goal is to defeat the given PvE Encounters in a Chapter. Each Chapter typically has 3 Encounters for the Good side of the League of Explorers and 3 encounters for the E.V.I.L. side with the League of E.V.I.L., with both sides giving collectible cards as rewards, with 2 cards for the end fight.
What Time does the Adventure Release?
How do I unlock the Chapters?
The Chapters unlock individually for 700 in-game gold (or €6.99 EUR/$6.99 USD) or all Chapters at once in a €19.99 EUR/$19.99 USD launch bundle. With the Final Chapter being released today it means the whole adventure will be playable from the moment you purchase.
What are the Rewards?
Playing through the Adventure will allow you to unlock 35 collectible cards, as well as 2 card backs for finishing the Adventure on both sides of the story on Heroic. If you got the Pre-Purchase Bundle, you also got a Golden Classic pack. Today's Chapter 4 will allow you to unlock 8 cards, shown below.
What can you expect?
This fourth and final chapter is called "Showdown in Dalaran" and can be played through on both Good (Explorers) and E.V.I.L. side, where the E.V.I.L. side will grant 4 cards total for completing and Good will grant 4 cards too.
On the E.V.I.L. side there are 3 fights: First against George and Karl, then against The Amazing Reno and lastly against Galakrond.
On the Good side there are 3 fights: First against George the Fallen, then against Waxrider Togwaggle and lastly against Rafaam and Galakrond.

Heroic Decks
You can find Decks to beat specific Heroic bosses uploaded on our site, visible in the widget on the front page or if you search the decks and select "Deck Type" as "PvE Adventure" in the Additional Filters or by using this link!
Creating Decks for Heroic
If you are playing Heroic and have a great deck for a certain Boss, then please, upload it using our Deckbuilder.
Simply make the deck like you normally would, then instead of "Ranked Deck" pick "PvE Adventure" from the drop down and under the "Boss" drop down, select which boss the deck is for. Write a description on how to use the deck for a better chance at those sweet, sweet upvotes. The community thanks you in helping them beat this Adventure and getting the cool Card Backs.

Byfar the amazing reno was the HARDEST LIKE HOLY SH*T. i play shaman/mage because they are my only best classes i have right now.
Reno was soo much bullsh*t, he starts with extra mana, he almost has perfect curve most of games, like zepherys on first turn and get a weapon/minion or spell, or he plays the 3/3 dragon rider legendary, its difficult to avoid soo much damage, even with soo much healing, im not joking, having like over 50 hit points worth of healing is not enough. You need harsh amount of good luck and rng to pull off reno if you are not playing rezz priest.
One more thing about reno, the hero power is just controlled random, he has the exact same random spells in the different mana zones, like 7 mana deal 18 worth of damage with the missiles or use 3 mana and cast a pyroblast worth of damage, you just cant avoid that. also why the absolute F*CK did they give the torch?(1 out of 3 reasons why i died) it can go face and its almost infinite, its enough to deal with bullsh*t highlander, i or anybody else, doesnt needs more crap from reno. anyways, dealt him with shudderwock, took me more then 8 hours to defeat reno.
My recommends on beating these 3 special bosses:
Galagrond in the evil side of story was a joke to compare to reno, you start with 3 mana, thats enough mana for any control deck to control the board and kill him in the end game.
Rafaam in the good side of story was actually kinda hard but not hard enough, again, you just need to freeze the board and try to have good luck in the end game, i can see any OTK deck beating rafaam or galagrond, just play mage quest otk, mechatun or just play alextraza.
RENO F*CKING JACKSON: Resurrection priest is the only deck that saves your insanity, i heard someone tried mechatun combo but i am not sure. You really need super good luck because obviously blizzard didnt play test this boss enough before release.
last mentions, toggwaggle; he really isnt anything super difficult, beated him on second try, i can see him being trouble with the wax minions, but any silence, devolve or psychic scream would help the cause.

I scientifically tested Rez Priest for Cancer. The fact that it can beat Heroic Galakrond concerns me.
Like, not some Anti-Galakrond Rez Priest either. Just regular *perfectly balanced* Rez Priest.
exactly. I beat every boss except avalanche with big priest, which I only tried 2 times b4 switching to exodia mage.
also, I rarely restarted the matchups. most of the time it was 1st try.
let the fuck change the type of this adventure because you can't win these galakrond and reno
Reno killed me on turn 1 with Lei and two Evocations. I thought it's scripted scene or something and was really surprised when turns out it's not.
Hahaha I bet the people complaining about Reno being too hard, are the same ones complaining the rest of the adventure was too easy. Standard mode was easy, so you can get your rewards, heroic is very hard because it doesn't matter, you got your rewards. What good is a card back that everyone can easily get?? You're crying because you couldn't beat the entire story mode on DAY ONE!!! ?
That and it really does show how powerful Reno/Galakrond really are compared to the player, who is called "Adventurer".

You are a moron, you can't beat the reno fight unless you get lucky. They gated cards behind luck, and that's why ppl are complaining. Normal should be a joke. No one cares if Heroic is impossible and an RNG grind fiesta to get the perfect scenario to win, the way Heroics were in years past. But since you need to finish the adventure to get the cards, it isn't fair that player A has to spend 5 times as long as Player B simply because one guy got luckier.
And here I thought I'd come and be the only player who thought Reno is beyond exaggerated.
I really do not mind the challenge, but 80 "life" fully equipped highlander Wild deck ? As a non-Wild player, it sucks. I'll get the s.o.b. though xD
P.S. the story had a fun ending, not AS easy as before, but easy nonetheless. It was nothing more than homework to get a passing grade to get the cards. Rafaam was funny.
Heroic Galakron at E.V.I.L could be done with Anduin-Galakrond set. Just put a lot of removal, Alextrassa and then burn him to death.
Can someone post the deck used to beat Heroic Galakrond on EVIL side? This is the most ridiculous heroic fight blizzard has made to date...why.

What in the actual fuck? How do you beat an army of 8/8's by turn 3?
I just used freeze mage(i didn't have thorissan nor archmage in the deck it was just alextrasza bc it has 150 health). It took me maybe 5 tries. if you know how to play freeze mage, it is not that hard, just use cheesy decks.
(EDIT: Oh yes, and if Galakrond has 1 charge of his mega-windfury weapon left, he will attack the doomsayer, then thinkw that he has charges left, but he doesnt obviously. So doomsayer will go off(assuming you already frost nova-d). )

Seriously FUCK galakrond! Most frustrating boss fight ever.
Normal Reno gave me a lolzy turn by killing me at turn 3 with 2 different 14 damage cinderstorms, but that was just absurd luck and didn't happen again on subsequent tries. I was pretty amused by that. The seemingly endless army of 8/8s, though, that usually come with buffs to the whole board at the worst times was pretty tilting.
i think mass hysteria, physic scream or plague of death does it. or me, you just freeze them constantly, you cant take damage when there is no minions that can attack.
