Peter Whalen just responded to a question on Twitter about if he is still on the Hearthstone Team or not

As you can see in the screenshot picture, he ISN'T on the Hearthstone Team anymore, but he still remains at Blizzard and Is doing something new with Mike Donais.

We can only speculate about what they are working on, but certainly It can't be a shooting game, right? Maybe Hearthstone Vanilla or Hearthstone 2? Time will tell.

So you're saying Battlegrounds doesn't count as a new game mode because you personally don't like it plus some arbitrary criteria while defending a proposed new game mode that hardly anyone would like but saying it would never happen because "the HS team don't do new game modes".
