We’re stringing the lights to kick off the Lunar New Year in style! Beginning January 29th, the tavern will celebrate with a new Tavern Brawl, themed quests, and rewards!
New Tavern Brawl: Lunar Blessings
Good fortune is coming your way this Lunar New Year! In this Tavern Brawl, you’ll start by choosing a class, and you’ll be given a random deck. Each class also has the choice between three different Blessings: buffs that will carry into your game and give you an advantage. You’ll have to choose wisely to find the right animal to best support your strategy.
Quests and Rewards
During the event, you’ll also have the opportunity to complete eight different special themed quests, each one rewarding both gold and dust! These also start January 29th, so don’t miss out!
Be sure to give your opponents a festive greeting with Lunar New Year emotes! The Lunar New Year Event will run from January 29th to February 12th.
The text says there are 8 special quests so you dont get more dust if you reroll old ones. You get it earlier but not more.
Do we get a normal and a Lunar quest every day or just a Lunar instead of a normal one?
Can we reroll normal quests into Lunar quests?
Thanks for your help!
I check in Asia region and it is just a Lunar instead of a normal one so make sure you have a room for daily quest.
And you can reroll the normal quest into Lunar if you have some remain quest.
That's mean you can have 2 quests when the event start!! (save 2 quests and make 1 slot free)
Hi. Lunar New Year Celebration when?
Are those "special themed quests" extra quests or instead of daily quests?
They could also never hand out any freebies at all. There are plenty of games that don't observe any holidays.
Is that horse smoking a cigar?...................Nope its a carrot
this is cool but they also couldve done something on the regular new year celebration, just saying.
Well this is a mobile game and China is their biggest market so.......
That pig is atrocious.

Nice to see an idiotic & funny comment just before my way to work xD Thx.
I'm pretty sure they didn't think everything through here: With the current wording, the Mastiffs from Blessing of the Dog get the deathrattle to summon a Mastiff as well. After all, while you're not playing them, you're still summoning them. So that means your board will end up with 7 of the original Dreadsteeds at some point...
chinese new year = the true actiblizz holiday
cool birthday present :)
Does the Reborn effect count as summoning a minion?
Good question. I too, would like to know.
Like what's the difference from 'Summoning', and 'Playing' a minion???
'playing' is when you play directly from your hand. 'summon' is everything basically (including playing from hand), like deathrattle, recruit, reborn...
I love the gold AND dust rewards (obviously) and I think the "Blessing" idea could be strategic at times, but...random decks again (sigh)
I believe 2020 is year of Rat in Chinese year.. Hope it'll be as fun as it looks.
