Goblins vs Gnomes: 61 New Cards
Blizzard released the remaining collectible cards for the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion on the Hearthstone Facebook page. We've added all the cards to our card database, and have all the new cards on display below. You can use our deckbuilder to create decks using all the new cards, or view all the GvG cards on our dedicated page.
This brings the total number of GvG cards up to 134 (including tokens). There are definitely some token cards still missing, but we're looking at the full set of collectible cards if Zeriyah speaks the truth which she says this is the last wave of cards.

Upcoming Balance Changes
Quote from BlizzardDuring the development of Goblins vs Gnomes, we kept an eye on the state of game balance as more Hearthstone matches were played with the new cards we introduced with Curse of Naxxramas. After careful consideration we have decided to make balance changes to the following cards: Soulfire (Warlock), Gadgetzan Auctioneer (Neutral), and Flare (Hunter)
The following balance changes will be made in an upcoming patch:
- Soulfire now costs 1 (up from 0)
- Soulfire, along with fast and powerful minions, allowed Warlock rush decks to get ahead on the board and stay ahead. We’ve upped Soulfire’s mana cost by 1 to slow down the Warlock rush deck just a bit and allow more players time to react and interact against the Warlock.
- Gadgetzan Auctioneer now costs 6 (up from 5)
- Gadgetzan Auctioneer’s ability allows for a player to potentially draw many cards for little cost. Card draw and card advantage are important to the game—overall, games are less interesting when a player draws their entire deck. This change brings Gadgetzan Auctioneer’s cost more in line with its power level.
- Flare now costs 2 (up from 1)
- Flare allowed the Hunter an advantage versus decks that revolve around Secrets, while also allowing the Hunter to draw a card for little cost. We want to encourage a variety of decks in Hearthstone. With this change, Flare will continue to be useful against decks playing Secrets, but will be weaker against other decks
We will continue to make balance changes to Hearthstone when we feel they are necessary in order to increase the variety of cards seen at all levels of play, with the goal of making Hearthstone a more fun and interactive game for everyone.
Goblins vs Gnomes Information & Cards
We've launched a dedicated page for Goblins vs Gnomes which contains information on the expansion and has lists of all the new cards we've seen.
Which is why they are doing it with a new set of cards. Those new cards can allow rogue to do a different playstyle. The meta will shift.
Miracle was the only legitimate combo deck in Hearthstone which made it interesting and unique from other classes/decks. It added variety to this game that decks with Undertaker in them don't provide. This playstyle is now gone and any future Rogue deck will look like every other deck. How is that okay?
If you think increasing the mana cost of the deck's engine isn't a big deal you don't understand Hearthstone/ card games in general. Auctioneer will now take an extra full turn to play. Games are often decided in one turn. Rogue was still viable before this patch but it was actually the least played class with the lowest win percentage. Don't believe me? Go look at the stats. You seem to be making a ton of claims without actually saying anything to support them. "Trust me Undertaker isn't as broken as you think." That's not even an argument, that's you stating your opinion as though it were objectively true. I'll leave it at that since I disagree with you on almost every point that you made.
To be fair, I think one of the reasons rogue are pretty underplayed is because of the requirements, both expirenced- and money/dust-wise, to get a decent rogue deck. You'll need:
800 dust for 2x prep. 400 dust for 2x SI7 + Gadgetzan. Lothab (20€?). 1600 Malygos (I know you can use pirate, and other variants of rogue, but for the sake of the argument...).
Plus everything else.
Rogue is a funny thing, because it requires so much construction. That's a good thing imo, but the fact is, that rogue is pretty expensive, and also very technical. That may scare people away from rogue in general, because the difference between a good constructed deck, and a viable deck, is so far away. Also, another one of the reasons rogue is quite hard to play, is because it requires you to 1) have a good understanding of when to trade, and when not to, and 2) when you make those trades, have certain assumptions of what your opponent might have to counter that trade/decision/spell, which require a lot of experience.
TL;DR: There are more reasons than Gadgetzan for rogue not being played. :) Merry christmas.
I'm very happy with the Flare and Soulfire change. I don't believe it's even close to what is needed about Soulfire tbh! I would also make the discard into the casting cost (same for Doomguard) to balance the cards even more and i'm a Warlock Player as main deck...
Once again they nerfed Hunter, wat a F joke.
And it's still one of the best decks around. Maybe they are on to something.
ALERT. ALERT. They keep adding cards to the FB post.

Yes, I am excited about Murlocs.
Not the only card added. You have some work to do @Fluxflashor. :D
Yup. 17 new cards.
It's hilarious how dispersed all the card reveals have been. Was this Blizzard's plan to get everyone in a frenzy?
Maybe they are rushing to reveal all cards ahead of a release? One can hope!
So what now with Rogue? Only possibilities might be playing some tier 3 tempo rogue / Gimmicky Pirate deck?
I wasn't a fan of the almighty Miracle Rogue / Leeroy but it looks like they are hammering on Rogue pretty hard again and again.
I didn't see any rogue cards changed.
I like this batch a great deal more than much of the stuff I've seen lately. Kind of surprised they altered Soulfire, was this rumored to have been in the works?
Yes. Speculation was they were going to make the discard mandatory which I actually would have preferred, but this should bring it in line as well.
RIP YETI :c
Why? Mechanical Yeti isn't strictly better than Chillwind Yeti, because your opponent could get the better spare part, or your opponent could benefit more from having low-cost spells in hand.
Mechanical Yeti will be played in mech decks for synergy. Chillwind Yeti is probably mostly dead at this point.
It is in a mech deck or if you believe you are a better player than your opponent...
