Balance Changes Coming - More Details Next Week
Blizzard, through Dean Ayala, a.k.a. IskarHS, tweeted out upcoming balance changes that they will share more information about next week. Read about it below where we quoted the tweet he sent.
Quote from BlizzardPlanning another balance patch. Will share some more information next week as we solidify.
Some of the Galakrond decks are just a touch more powerful than they need to be to be successful.
Also contemplating light changes to non-Galakrond archetypes like Pirate War and DR Rogue.
I'm playing Murloc Shaman that I was playing 2 months ago. I'm not in the upper ranks (I hang out at rank 15), as I only play to knock out the dailies & to get my monthly cardback, but a few times a week I'll put in an hour or two just for the fun of it.
I never said I didn't like DoD. In fact I have some deck ideas I'd like to try. It's just that since launch everyone has been begging for nerfs, which seam to have worked, as they are now doing a second round of nerfs. I'm just waiting for the nerfs to settle, and the meta to find out where it is at, then I'll be playing DoD cards. Just don't wanna waste my time making a deck, that will change do to possible nerfs.
Toxic Reinforcements only summons 2 gnomes. Wouldn't mind this at all!
Necrium Apothecary to 5 mana, seems legit and still playable. Knowing Blizzard they will nerf it to the ground do...
Scion of Ruin only summons 1 copy. This will not happen, Not even nerfed to two copies I'm 99% certain about it!
Parachute Brigand becomes a 1/1 57.8% Mulligan WR, don't seem like a problem to me.
I would also like to a change to:
Ancharrr has a 70.8% Mulligan WR seems more favorable to nerf than Necrium Apothecary with a 66.0% Mulligan WR.
The tweet said Galakrond decks, so I would hope they are finally considering Galagrond, as it was a huge mistake to not address this the last time:
Galakrond, the Tempest 2/2 Storms with Rush. nerf to 1/1 Storm with Rush (Dealing with multiple 6-6 is a lot better than multiple 8-8 and it still would seem playable.
Frosty Out!
Starting at 1/1 would make it a 4/4 at maximum, not 6/6.
I think 2/1s would be fair. 2/1 to 4/2 to 8/4. Making it more of a removal effect rather than summoning two giants as a win con. That'd make it pretty weak compared to some of the others, but it's so much easier to invoke it to maximum.
I think they'll hit Scion and Dragon's Pack from Galakrond, can't think of anything else that's even a problem at all at this point.
- The twit says mainly Galakrond decks. so I think they will hit it's Battlecry (maybe the weapon equip 3/2 instead of 5/2 ?)
- Hunter is not impacted according to the post
Scion of ruin should stat: "summon 2 3/2 dragons" and not 2 copies of itself.
Wow, cool!
Another patch forcing people not to have fun!
Whoa y'all made me log in just to downvote this shit
Alextrasza and zephrys are mistake that ruins game.
only thing it ruins is Agrro's chance to win. get owned
Resurrect Priest?
I have opened 150+ packs of DoD....... I have yet to use one card from this latest expansion. I have not made, or even really thought about making a new deck. The nerfs are happening so fast that it seems like the meta is not going to settle for a while.
I'm waiting until things calm down a lil bit more.
And hey, ya never know, one of the cards that I have 9+ copies of may be nerfed, then I could disenchant for full value (yes, I have not even disenchant my duplicates yet).
Are we playing the same hearthstone card game? If you play wild than maybe your statement is justify. Otherwise I have no idea how you build a deck without any of DoD card expansion. The only deck that don't required DoD card that I can think of are Quest control Priest and OTK paladin.
Oh well. Whatever float your boat, if you think the new DoD expansion card sucks, maybe you shouldn't have opened that 150 packs. Save that gold/money. Then again it's your decision who am I tell you what to do. ROFL!
Pretty sure you would only get full dust refund for two of them? I may be wrong though
No, you get full refund for all copies. Only HoF'ed Cards will get you fullll refund for two copies
Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up!
Calling it now.
Toxic Reinforcements only summons 2 gnomes.
Necrium Apothecary to 5 mana
Scion of Ruin only summons 1 copy.
Parachute Brigand becomes a 1/1
1/1 is a little much, I'd say 2/1 or 1/2.
This constant patch should have been done long time ago. It's a fcuking digital card game! Instead of printing power card that is stronger than the previous expansion. With every new expansion, the older expansion card tend to be obsolete.
So according to hsreplay the deck with the highest win rate is at 54.27. This is one of 5 T1 decks and tons of other T2 decks. I guess I don’t really see the need for nerfs, game seems a bit balanced to me. Sure I think Paladin and Mage (and even non res Priest decks) could use a buff but I don’t know if nerfs are really going to ‘help’ that much. And I do feel for FTP folks b/c these constant balance changes are murder. IDK
It's not about the winrates but more about hit or miss decks. What's the point of having a 50% winrate deck which always get a win with lucky draws and always loses if not?
