I know right? I got 4500 dust and looking forward to another round of nerfs in January.
I wish the Hearthstone would be willing to "Rework" cards instead of changing the numbers and taking the rest of the day off. You know, giving a card a nerf, plus a slight buff to compensate, and resulting in a playable but far less meta defining card. It'd be at least more interesting and satisfying than "Hey look this is barely weaker. Have 40 dust".
Imagine how long it would take them. I mean, they theoretically play tested the original cards in the months (or more) leading up to the expansion and look how that turned out. How long are you willing to wait and deal with the current cards while they spend time on a full "Rework"?
What did you expect: that they destroy the card: it's supposed to be strong, but not that strong. They toned down it quite a bit and it's better than before. But it doesn't say that it should get totally destroyed.
Really Sludge Slurper. Im playing an overload non cancer shaman and now I get punished too wtf. Where is the Nerf to the 2/1 Rush elementals that are the ones that are supposed to be 1/1
There's no way a whole dev team missed the fact that 32/32 Rush in one turn existed (quite easily and consistently might I add) and still does. I think they know the game's power has gone off the rails at this point, and they don't seem very interested in even bothering with it.
guess what, Faceless Corruptor is still the most played card by a landslide and the other top 11 cards are, guess what, all from galakrond shaman and face hunter.
These nerfs are not sufficient and someone are pointless. (like the one for the Sludge Slurper)
It was very simple, you had to nerf Galakrond, the Tempest and Dragon's Pack.
first 3 games: 3 galakrond shamans as op as before
WTF :D battleground nerfs just change everything. Maybe for good. Shaman nerfs... I dont know. The only big nerf for me is Corrupt elementalist. I though that they would nerf the shit with Galakrond and 4 8/8 with rush....
Well, at least they nerfed Sludge Slurper, clearly the biggest offender in Galakrond decks.
9 games on ladder, 4 games vs hunter, 3 games vs shaman, 2 games vs rogue. i guess nothing changed.
Hey Blizzard, it's actually really simple...
Stop trying to be all fucking cute and clever with these indirect theory crafting nerfs and just hit the shit that is obviously OP.
Nobody ever complained about sludge slurper. They complained about fucking 4 8/8s with rush FOR 7 MANA and then being able to it again plus refilling your entire hand and creating a full board again literally a turn later.
Honestly do you guys even play your own game or are you all secretly just a bunch of Shaman mains?
I am just worried that this will change little. Yes it made Shaman much weaker. But feels like Rouge will just run away with game with the deathrattle deck instead. Not sure I like target nerfs without trying to look at other decks and cards. It might just switch around things to a new dominant hard to beat deck instead right?
Just played one BG game. Brann is still in pool :O
Brann the HERO got removed, Brann the MINION is still in the game. Unless you meant you saw the Hero than you probably got caught playing while you weren't updated yet. :)
Ok, I want to be wrong about these nerfs affecting almost nothing, I really do. I want to see shaman play numbers go down and their win rates drop to reasonable levels (I don't necessarily want them to tank; variety is part of a good meta).
I don't expect that. At best, this opened up an extra couple turns for face hunter to pummel out non-interactive damage, for rogue to draw their busted Apothecary combo cards, for pirate warrior to run you down.
I still expect shaman to be a major presence in the meta game, as their cards are still outrageously powerful: their Galakrond is completely broken, their quest is a bad design that rewards basic deck building with double value at no sacrifice to the structure of the deck, and Shudderwock is still one of the best backup plans in the game should "constant board flooding and value generation" not cut it before an OTK or aggro beatdown ends them.
I want to be wrong, and I hope I am, but I have no confidence in this nerf shifting the meta much, let alone to a good place.
Shaman certainly is balanced now!
*Summons 4 8/8s with rush*
Who care, it is turn 9. If you play aggro Shaman should be dead by this time and if you play control you should have answer. And if you play tempo, than you just lost, becose he had better tempo play.
This nerf is ok, as it do what it should... Let the Galakrond shaman have counter decks. (Except Holy Wrath paladin, which is not very good against others.)
I care. It is still broken.
