Blizzard just announced the Balance Changes coming tomorrow, it includes some Shaman changes we have been waiting for, but also some changes to Battlegrounds! Read all about it below!
Quote from BlizzardHey everyone!
The 16.0.5 balance update for Hearthstone will be going live tomorrow. Below are the included changes, and as always, we’ll be evaluating the results of these changes over the coming weeks and look forward to your feedback!
Corrupt Elementalist
Now costs 6 Mana (up from 5).
Sludge Slurper
Now has 1 Attack (down from 2).
Faceless Corruptor
Now has 4 Attack (down from 5).
Mogu Fleshshaper
Now costs 9 Mana (up from 7).
*Once these changes are live, players will be able to disenchant the adjusted cards for their full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.
Battlegrounds:
The Boogeymonster
Moved from Tavern Tier 5 to Tavern Tier 4 .
Mechano-Egg
Moved from Tavern Tier 5 to Tavern Tier 4.
The Beast
Moved from Tavern Tier 4 to Tavern Tier 3 .
Coldlight Seer
Moved from Tavern Tier 2 to Tavern Tier 3 .
Primalfin Lookout (changed last week)
Moved from Tavern Tier 4 to Tavern Tier 5 .
Nightmare Amalgam
Has been removed from the pool of available minions.
Brann Bronzebeard
Has been removed from the pool of available heroes.
Bartendotron
Has been added to the pool of available heroes.
Taking out Nightmare Amalgam is the equivelant of removing all lackeys in standard. It's going to totally change the game. Standard nerfs are not going to change anything.
That's it???
Sludge will still be played. Corruptor is still very very powerful even if the token is also reduced to 4 attack (which is not mentioned though probably what will happen).
Elementalist is a real nerf as is Mogu. But that's a bit underwhelming. But hey, maybe better that they dorather small steps.
No fix for albatross? the 1/1 count as class card.
To be fair to them, the Battlegrounds changes are also far less complicated. How many minions are there really to balance against?
Seems like they put a lot more thought on the battleground changes than they did for ranked. I guess this is going to be the format that everyone will play.
So Corrupt Elementalist is just delayed a turn basically, you can still get 32/32 of stats if you choose, or just a measly 16/16 and again with Shudderwock. Nothing done to the 5 mana 10/12, yeah it will come down a turn later, will that make a big difference? I've been one of the biggest proponents that the nerfs wouldn't solve the fundamental issues with the game, and I've been proven correct. It's Mean Streets of Gadgetzen all over again, help us all.
Also I'm still running Faceless Corruptor in every one of my rogue decks, still an insane card at 5 mana.
Waste of time. The obviously just don't want people getting massive dust refunds.
cya in april
No Rogue changes, this could get interesting...
most 8 mana evolutions are better than 10's ones...
Are 10 mana Minions better on average, though? I think it is a real nerf.
No that's dumb! Not being able to play this on turn 4 ever is definitely gonna negatively impact Shamans winrate. If they get a good Mogu off on turn 6 with a huge board I can just put more AOE in to counter it.
2 extra mana let's you play around it, it might not even be included anymore. 9 minions on board is very rare and give you options to play around it as a control deck and it being delayed is huge for aggro-decks! If the minion is slightly larger doesn't matter that much.
So, I'll still be able to summon 4 8/8s with rush!
Also
Mogu Fleshshaper + Mutate = Colossus of the Moon
the only change acceptable its the mogu the others chages are meh.. but really meh..
Anyone else see the change to [card]Mogu Fleshshaper[/card] increasing its power?
yes, but for shaman is more important to put in play early - and this is nerfed
Is that it?
Is that it? The problem With this deck is that you could play fully invoked Galakrond on turn 7. Now it can take you 1-2 more turns, and thats a big deal. And will also be harder to snowball With evolve now. I think Blizz did a great job!
