Descent of Dragons Balance Changes Coming - Including Shaman Changes
Blizzard posted a message that Balance Changes are planned for somewhere in the next week, with a specific mention of changes to Shaman. Read the full statement below:
Quote from BlizzardHey Folks,
Just to give a heads up - we’re working on a balance update that will arrive within the next week with card adjustments for Descent of Dragons, including some changes aimed at Shaman. Any cards that are affected will be given full Arcane Dust refunds.
Stay tuned for more details next week.
Cheers,
The Hearthstone Team
I'm not completely agree with you. Shaman Galakrond has a direct impact on the board. Rogue and War Galakrond have NOT. That's the real difference.
The 36.5% priest win percentage say hi. Only the battlecry of priest galakrond is good but not busted.
I don't quite understand how shudderwock doesn't transform itself into another faceless corruptor, how could blizzard make the same mistake twice (saronite chain gang) , the battlecry should read ''transform one of your minions into another faceless corruptor".
So instead of having 6-6's on the board, you will have all rush minions. Which will give it even more power the turn you play it! It would however fix shudderwock from putting himself back in the hand, which is also a problem..
Balance update 16.0.4.:
Removed Shaman from playable heroes..
Problem solved :D
Haha!
Shaman Portrait: Under Maintenance, please come back after testing is complete.
Invoke should be a mechanic of its own and not fall under the battlecry category imo.
Why can't I up vote this twice? This shit is solely happening because shaman has hero power that doubles the value of every galakrond card.
Yeah the best version doesn't even use quest lmao
not many play the quest
Quest is still in need of a nerf.
Mutate 1 mana
Corrupt Elementalist 4 mana: Battlecry: Invoke Galakrond. or 5 mana Battlecry: Invoke Galakrond twice. Overload (2)
Galakrond, the Tempest: Summon two 1/1 Storms with Rush, Summon 2 2/2 Storms with Rush, Summon 2 4/4 with Rush. or No longer a battlecry. or Galakrond's Fury: Summon a 1/1 elemental with Rush.
Corrupt the Waters: Your next battlecry this turn triggers twice.
Faceless Corruptor: 6 mana, same battlecry. or 5 mana: Rush. Battlecry: Transform one of your minions into a copy of this. 4/3
Any or all of these changes would be acceptible. Idk, I could be wrong with some of these, but Shaman was definitely a problem. Every other match is a Shaman running the exact same list.
Mutate cannot be one mana since evolve costs one
Mutate : No, 0 mana is fine. The combo with the 3/4 Rush minion is very good but not gamebreaker.
Corrupt Elementalist : I don't think Overload would change something. This card is not a problem, The real problem is Galakrond's Hero Power.
Galakrond Hero Power : Should summon 1/1 Elem Rush.
Galakrond Battlecry : Summon two 1/1 then two 2/2 then 2 4/4 is fine.
Corrupt the waters : Your nerf will kill the quest...
Faceless Corruptor : I think that the best nerf will be turn into 3/4 rush.
The other card to nerf is Dragon's Pack. 2 5/6 Taunt for 5 Mana is a way too good. Should cost 6 mana or give the wolves +2/+2 instead to summon 2 4/5 (2 Yeti Taunt for 5 mana is really good)
Quest nerfed. Hero power becomes: next battlecry this turn triggers twice. End of the shaman problem.
Except, Galakrond
They should also nerf Pirate Warrior cards that are problematic in Wild...
Play Druid and get easy wins.
Try Reno decks, very good vs pirates and any aggro in general :)
"Announcement" of an "Announcement". Better than nothing I guess. Looking forward to next week.
