Descent of Dragons Balance Changes Coming - Including Shaman Changes
Blizzard posted a message that Balance Changes are planned for somewhere in the next week, with a specific mention of changes to Shaman. Read the full statement below:
Quote from BlizzardHey Folks,
Just to give a heads up - we’re working on a balance update that will arrive within the next week with card adjustments for Descent of Dragons, including some changes aimed at Shaman. Any cards that are affected will be given full Arcane Dust refunds.
Stay tuned for more details next week.
Cheers,
The Hearthstone Team
Pirates are perfectly balanced and can be counter easily.
you write stupidity, is just as strong as a shaman
Can't wait for this beta testing to be over
I don't think the shaman galakrond should be nerfed, I think the shaman quest should be nerfed to require more battlecries to complete. that way you have a weaker early game because you can't double all of your invokes, but you can still play galakrond as you usually would. Also that card that summons two 5/6 wolves should have the stats tuned down a bit like 4/5 or 3/5 maybe. that way it's easier for players to hold on to their board clears for the waves of 8/8s
If you change the shaman quest to require more battlecries you'd make the Galakrond decks far far stronger.Double battlecry is far better than the Galakrond power and that'd make it more likely you'd trigger the quest after you've played the hero card.
The non-quest version has a higher win rate than the quest version.
Stupid
very happy that the nerfs come up so fast, maybe they were just too blatantly broken
still baffles me how they got released this way, i'm sure they try these things out for months and didn't realize it while they players need like a day to figure that stuff out
I think invoke should be chose between upgreating galakrond or casting his heropower.Casting both of tham makes all the cards that invoke galvakrond have asolulty no drawback.
Why punish other classes when its shamans hero power that is too good? The drawback is that they aren't great cards already.
Would be pretty neat if heroes were actually spells. The entire problem with one power spike from wock would be dealt with.
I really hope they REMOVE the whole shaman class, i detest people who play it.
Or the nerfs should be something like that: Cost to play Galakrond: 10mana
Quest does not start on hand and costs 3 mana
Dragon's Pack: cost 8mana , summon one 4/5 wolf with rush
Faceless Corruptor : Must be 2/1 Rush.
Galakrond Battlecry : Summon one 1/1 elemental with rush
Galakrond Hero Power : Your choose one effects now trigger both effects. (shaman does not need another op hero power, he can also have a useless one)
Shudderwock: new card text: After you play shudderwock once in this game it will be moved to the hall of fame for YOU and ALL PEOPLE on your friends list
Bro no offense but get over your opinion with that opening statement. They aren’t gonna remove shaman. Tons of people love the class. Which is great. I don’t particularly like shaman either but it’s not all about me.
You appear to have gone 'full retard'. Never go full retard.
no man, it would still be overpowered, they should just delete the class
Roughly 50% played rate, Galakrond Shaman specifically has about 62-67% winrate, I'm not quite sure and its worst matchup is... Galakrond shaman with 50% winrate
I would like to know the shaman play rate... and win rate...
Lol 1 week and nerfs already, + 1000 for the QA "Testing" team
Hey Folks,
Just to give a heads up - we’re working on hiring some Beta testers for the next expansion but we are still a small company with very strained budget.
Cheers,
The Hearthstone Team
My predictions (and wishes):
Galakrond Hero Power : Should summon 1/1 Elem Rush.
Galakrond Battlecry : Summon two 1/1 then two 2/2 then 2 4/4 is fine.
Faceless Corruptor : Must be 3/4 Rush.
Dragon's Pack: 2 5/6 Taunt for 5 Mana is a way too good. Should cost 6 mana or give the wolves +2/+2 instead to summon 2 4/5 (2 Yeti Taunt for 5 mana is really good)
All Galakronds are busted (except Warlock), but the only reason Shaman's is scarier is just because of the double battlecries he casts for 2 mana each turn and the fact that Shudderwock is still a thing. Summoning just 2 8/8s and a 2/1 as hero power looks almost useless compared to drawing four 0-mana cards or drawing four minions with +4/+4.. The only difference being shaman's accessibility to the same battlecry 2 or more times.
