Descent of Dragons Balance Changes Coming - Including Shaman Changes
Blizzard posted a message that Balance Changes are planned for somewhere in the next week, with a specific mention of changes to Shaman. Read the full statement below:
Quote from BlizzardHey Folks,
Just to give a heads up - we’re working on a balance update that will arrive within the next week with card adjustments for Descent of Dragons, including some changes aimed at Shaman. Any cards that are affected will be given full Arcane Dust refunds.
Stay tuned for more details next week.
Cheers,
The Hearthstone Team
For whoever did shit like this it’s entirely their fault. If you don’t have a shit ton of dust don’t craft in the first couple of weeks, especially not within 4 days. Also this could not have been a surprise XD, they were bound to address CreepStone
Yesterday was too late.
What are you talking about? Nobody is trying to lure you into anything. If you literally don't know why nerfs exist then your mom told you the world revolves around you. The nerf is to balance cards. When you've got millions of players it demonstrates what needs fixing based on data. The data said the cards were too powerful so in order to keep the game interesting and encourage different decks and classes they are fixing it. You're welcome. They did it for you. Enjoy playing other decks now.
If you're now turned away because you thought you were going to win every game based on a few cards then your lack of skill and diversity at Rank 20 really show. Enjoy whatever game caters to you.
I imagine the nerfs to Shaman will be the same as the nerfs to Mage and Warrior (right after Saviours of Uldum expansion was released) as in it will be playable, but not too powerfull.
Sure ...they let powerful cards out just to sell and then after they sell. NEEEEERFS. no comments beyond this point. every clever person can understand yes?
from now on....no more money from me.
you do realize you get FULL dust refunds for the nerfed cards? this has 0 impact on the money you spent.
Hmm. lets see. The last time they had such a knee jerk reaction they completely decimated an entire class. It was so bad they are still trying to recover from it. Probably should wait at least a month guys.
At this point, I'd rather see shaman decimated than remain in its current state. I doubt that will happen, since even without galakrond shaman has aggro overload, murlocs, and quest, and there isn't any single nerf that would hit all of them. But this isn't a point where they should be aiming to tone galakrond shaman down a little and let it remain a contender for the top deck, shaman has been dominant for too long and I'm hoping they make it a mid-tier deck at best so other classes actually have a chance.
People have short memories. Shaman hasn't been nearly as dominant as other class were in the past. honestly though i could care less the game is just a casino simulator at this point.
Well damn. Guess I'm not crafting any cards till the patch drops. Shame I couldn't hold myself and dusted duplicates and what not.
Ah well. Shamans had this coming long ago, so.
This is why I never dust non-nerfed cards (even duplicates) unless I urgently need the dust, the exception is cards that are so bad they have no chance of ever being played or nerfed further (i.e. Moroes). The nerfs have been a lot more common recently, so this strategy does pay really well. I'm currently sitting on 20k dust from last year's nerfs alone (I've only been buying the pre-orders).
I hope they buff priests. Seeing my favorite class has 36.5% winrate (according to hsreplay) make me sad
Most of the times when they nerf a card, it's totally killed.so bye Shaman?
Thank god. So glad I didn't 'push the button'.
muffin button? not like there going to nerf the 3 diffrient deck types shaman can make though
All right, I get that we asked Blizzard to be more responsive with nerfs and fixes, but to lower the Nerfhammer this early feels like they knew it was not ok and still decided to ship it while broken to make us buy the preorder. I like that Blizzard is addressing problems quickly, but even before we realize they are problems at all? All this stinks so much. In less than a week you nerf a set but Conjurer Mage was fine for 6 months? We are just testing, the meta is not even remotely settled. Fishy.
So what should we wait for? Wait for everyone to give up creating decks and join shaman? The worst Galakrond Shaman player has 50% winrate so this is very serious. You still get dust back after the nerf btw
Balance update:
-Moved Evolve to the basic set.
That escalated quickly!
Just add to all the other classes of Galacrond, and remove the useless garbage sidequest. LOOOL
