Frequently asked questions regarding Descent of Dragons expansion...

[Q1] -> Why is the Priest Galakrond’s Hero Power (Galakrond's Wit) different from its tooltip?
[A1] -> The tooltip is incorrect and it should say Priest minion. The tooltip will be updated when Galakrond's Awakening comes out.

[Q2] -> Could this possibly indicate that Priest Galakrond (Galakrond, the Unspeakable) at one point had a Hero Power that added a random card instead of a minion to your hand?
[A2] -> Indeed it did! We iterated a ton on the Galakrond mechanic. Trying it as a minion initially, but eventually a Hero Card that upgraded. Then we had to iterate on all of the various versions of the Galakronds, the Invokers, the Lieutenants (the cards that trigger when you've Invoked twice), the hero powers. We tried Priest card for a while, but you would occasionally fill your hand with a lot of situational spells that you had a hard time playing, so we changed it to minion so you could more reliably play the cards that you got from the Invokes.

[Q] -> Can “Repeatable this turn” still cost 0 (after the Echo mechanic update)? (For example Unstable Evolution)
[A] -> "Repeatable this turn" can still cost (0). This change only affects Echo.

[Q] -> How would the Echo mechanic changes affect Giants or similar cards when playing Glinda Crowskin?
[A] -> Only the initial Giant would cost (0). Its Echoed copies would cost (1).

[Q] -> Can Living Dragonbreath unfreeze minions that are already Frozen?
[A] -> It unfreezes Frozen minions, yes.

[Q1] -> What happens when Rolling Fireball hits a divine shield? Under explosive runes logic, my guess is that 8 - health of shielded minion will be then split left or right.
[A1] -> This is correct. It uses Explosive Runes logic.

[Q2] -> If I have a board full of Wisps, does Rolling Fireball kill them all? Or only two of them?
[A2] -> It depends where you position it. If you play Rolling Fireball on the left or right most it will kill them all. If you play it on the second Wisp from the left it could roll left and stop or roll right and kill 6 Wisps. In this scenario you’d want target it on the ends and it would always kill all the Wisps. It picks a direction and keeps on rolling.

[Q] -> Was there a special nickname for the new paladin cards that have "no neutral cards" restriction? 
[A] -> While we were playtesting this internally, we also called it “Pure Paladin”. That alliteration just rolls off the tongue nicely.

[Q] -> Will Juicy Psychmelon draw 6 mana minion which mana cost was changed to 7 mana after playing Embiggen?
[A] -> Embiggen affects the Cost and stats in deck. Psychmelon will pull off the adjusted Cost, so Hogger will get drawn after playing Embiggen. Molten Giant keeps its original cost. Cards that directly affect their own Cost (Wing Blast, Scorch) apply their effect after other cards' effects. Embiggen checks if it Costs more than 20, which is true, so it doesn't apply the +1 Cost. Then Molten Giant applies its Cost reduction.

[Q] -> Can Ghastcoiler and Sneed’s Old Shredder create themselves in Battlegrounds?
[A] -> They can’t summon themselves and also Primalfin Lookout can’t Discover itself.

The original version of her art was much younger and not at all grandmotherly, but there were a couple minor touch-ups we wanted to do once we got the art back. The artist who did the paintover for her, however, gave her these really sultry cat eyes, eyebrows that I have been informed were "on fleek", pouty lips, etc. It was enough to where half the art pit was gathered awkwardly around his monitor, teasing him and speculating about whether she had "knots in all the right places" (we're mature folk).

To top it off the paintover also made her kinda like the artist's wife (in terms of facial structure, I mean, he wasn't married to a tree), which is how I got to hear an art director give the feedback "I think maybe the tree's a liiiittle too sexy now, and also she looks like your wife."
