Descent of Dragons Card List & Guide
Learn more and see all the cards in our dedicated expansion guide.
This expansion suck so much. All broken, pointless and nothing particular new to the game.
And why can Shaman Invoke twice with a card and the other classes no?
because class diversity , some classes can do certain things better then others by design.
This is not class diversity but classes discrimination, like Blizzard did printing Gala for some classes and not for others and giving more hero cards to some classes than others. Externally is frustrating when your favourite class is not considered as the others.
The other classes get Sidequests.
LMAO.. talking about discrimination of a class in a digital card game. I can’t breath... holy shit are you blind.
Sidequests sucks. How can you compared a new hero card with another legendary with sidequests?
Because you can have two of them in your deck? They're easier to draw.
But, all of the sidequest are rly bad, I want cards that have impact, it just do nothing you play it first turn, if you are able you complete it turn after, and you can do stuff with it turn later. Not a good thing, if you need to wait 3 turns. And if you are able to complete one in the turn you play it, your play was rly weak.
Let's not use Sidequests as a comparison. Every class that got Galakrond this expansion did not get a Highlander card the previous one. And while the League of Explorers got subpar Sidequests, EVIL got Plagues that don't really get used much. Over time, every class gets a handful of cool and interesting cards.
Except the highlander cards weren’t just bonus legendaries, whereas the Galakrond cards are. Numerical speaking, the EVIL classes now just have more legendaries in general than the non-EVIL classes. And the plagues are a lot more useful than the sidequests, especially the priest plague.
The art for shaman and mage tho are superb, although som eon the neutral and paladin looks quite cartoonish.
With these half of the final reveal... Im quite confused with the theme. With lots of pirates, then a neutral theme for paladin which could have been for priest or rogue.
THANK YOU, why the fuck would you introduce a whole new mechanic for Paladin that had 0 class identity??
I disagree, it makes sense that paladin is the most "classist" class with a mechanic that discriminates neutral, plebeian cards
Alright, show me an Archetype you can build that beats all the other identities that use the POWER HOUSE of Neutrals???
Not all cards are revealed yet, but I'm going to go ahead and say that Shaman-Galakrond is the strongest Galakrond.
Galakrond, the Tempest should actually just straight up win you the game if you manage to fully upgrade him, something that isn't necessarily true of the other forms. 16/16 of stats (with RUSH) is game-ending in a way that a mega-sprint, boardwipe, or RNG-fest of summing four random demons is not.
"Summon a 2/1 with Rush" is also in general the best hero power, as it more immediately impacts the board for a better rate. As a result, invoking as Tempest-krond is going to generally be more powerful than with any other class. All the invokers are much better for Shaman as a result - even Devoted Maniac seems more playable as a 4/3 Rush (split over two bodies).
It also appears Tempest has a key advantage the other Galakrond classes do not in Corrupt Elementalist; a single card that invokes twice makes it much easier to ensure you have a fully active Gakalrond turn seven every time if you highroll into him.
But of course the elephant in the room is that all of these things interact in a gross way with Shudderwock and Corrupt the Waters which is already a T1 deck.
The only thing that will stop this deck from taking off is the awkwardness of its best invokers (Elementalist and Shield of Galakrond) and its best payoff in Dragon's Pack are all at 5 cost.
Pirate warrior is back ya'll
Yet again, Blizzard can't take a direction with Paladin. For fuck sake we get Mech, stupid Side Quests, some new Highlander Neutral cards, garbage Dragon support. Yet again, fuck you Blizzard for being the most inconsistent and degenerate company in existence. JUST SUPPORT DRAGONS HOW HARD IS IT???
Thumbs down for a valid statement? Explain why the statement is invalid???
Because you are just a buthurt. If you don't like it, leave. Paladin have enough dragon support for that type of deck. I would even go as far as to say that they have the most support for dragon decks. This is last expansion in the year, which means they need to introduce some deck types that will have the least amount of time in standard. Sure for now "If you don't have neutral cards" doesn't look that great, however they will reveal some strong cards for that type of deck and because of rotation that deck won't last long enough.
