Aggro players will love it, control players will hate it.
But it seems like a stupid design to me. In some cases, gaining enough armor is pretty much the sole win condition for certain decks when facing aggro. It's also more or less a confession that previous releases weren't balanced enough. Same goes for skulking geist to conter jade idol or golakka crawler to counter pirates. Instead of nerfing a previous OP card (which they did do to patches), they release a new card saying "we didn't know how to balance a certain card or archetype, so let's give everyone a counter to that deck"
And I know there is a combo in wild for pretty much unlimited armor with druid, but balancing wild is not as easy nowadays. Same way shudderwock still works in wild because they nerfed saronite chain gang but never touched Doppelgangster. I'm not usually one to trash Blizzard or certain expansion and I don't intend to do so now, but this just doesn't make sense to me and is just a confession that they don't know how to properly balance the current state of the game.
... Is this their fix to that stupid Druid deck that grants 2500+ armor in one turn?
This card should not exist. I've played some collectible card game (sorry dont remember the name of it right now) where this type of cards were usefull but only because every class in this game could generate armor. In hearthstone only several classes can generate appropriate amount of armor. But you can say there are also secrets, and only several classes have their own secrets, and there are still cards which can destroy secrets. Yes, but secrets are not so valuable as 20 armor for example. Also poor High Priest Thekal is fully destroyed. But he was not so op as jade idol was, skulking geist was actually really helpful for countering op decks. Platebreaker will just destroy class mechanic of several classes. This card is the worst card of the expansion.

Totally legit.
If they wanted to nerf Armor they should've just introduced a max cap on how much Armor you can gain. This will just create games where the outcome is decided entirely on whether or not the aggro players draws this in time.
People are talking "never gonna see play" but only the existence of this card is enough to make control warrior useless for the next 2 years

To me this effect is really easy way to deal with armor heroes (especially over armoring) by the devs. I don't like that you drop this card and be like "heh, all your cards now had no effect to heal you up". It is very specific card so it will maybe not be that good to include in decks (I only play wild and most of the time druid is one piling up armor) but still with powerful effect if you do put it to use. Maybe it will be just 5/5 or insanely good card.
The thing I hate the most is that it says "bye" to High Priest Thekal. (Two molten giants on turn 3 with Thekal was bullshit still, but it was just high roll, to have them in hand).
I liked to play Semi control warrior with big stuff, and I generally like to use armor cards, they heal you also. If they wanted to deal with combo druid, they should just do it some other way. But yeah it generally counters just few classes (Druid, Warrior) and decks (Mage with Arcane Artificier, shudderwock Plated Beetle Shaman etc.) I just don't like that it threatens nature of Warrior, maybe this should be higher in cost no to be able to be used by aggro so early or other requirement for example: Battlecry: Destroy your opponent's armor, deal that much damage to your hero.

Might be playable if you had access to a sideboard. Hard to fit into a decklist for ladder play.

Very strong card against control Druid, Warrior and heal Paladin.
But, I doubt it will see any play with all the other OP cards released for this expansion.
You must remember that this tech works only against specific decks.
I remind you that Eater of Secrets did not see any play in the standard meta because it was not a secret meta.
In Wild mode on the other hand, this card will definitely see play.. and so as eater of secrets.
I do remember back in the day that eater of secret was slotted into a few meta decks during year of the mammoth. Especially decks that were weak to mage at the time because. Friggin' ice block...
But yes, I agree that this will not see play as the current meta stands. This card came about a year too late.
The only thing that keeps Secret Mage in check is Odd Warrior and Jade Druid and Aluneth maks sure that this card will be drawn in time.... (Mech Paladin is still winnable, as long as you draw Polymorph or Polymorph: Boar.)
(It is even good against DK to get rid of the five armour.)
Could have been a 9 mana 3/12 or something.
