The smol cuteness of this card is hilarious when you consider that Paladin also has Dragonrider Talritha, who is going to hop on this little guys back and discard him at the first sign of trouble like Mario double jumping off a Yoshi.

It's a reverse powercreep because Faerie Dragon will be a 0-mana 3/2. Imagine playing a 0 mana 3/2. Now that's Absolutely broken. And we thought Murloc Tinyfin needed a nerf.

at this point i think this should be a joke, cause is a f'cking nonsence call a card powercreep with the condition of play another card earlier in the game and then rant about it.

if we just consider the stats of this minion the tempo loss on this card is -0.5  [calculated  (2+3)/5  ]   BUT you should also consider his battlecry, discover a dragon means add a card to your hand. draw a card is close to +2 tempo play so we can consider that as +1 or +1.5 

now this card make a +0.5 or +1 in tempo while played.

than we have the lifesteal, with 2 attack we can consider that as +0.5 BUT i can imagine that this card will be buffed a lot of times so if he will hit face or minion for 5 attack means that the tempo gained here is almost +2.

at the end it's a 3 mana with +0.75 tempo play or +2.75 if it's buffed and hit something.

final comment:  really good card to play in a dragon paladin deck  :)

I play mostly arena and tempo is one of the most important aspects (or THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect).

That being sad, i like your calculation but this cut little dragon will lose you a lot of tempo.

Why you ask? Well you simply play a 3 mana 2/3 thats it. Zero tempo here. The lifesteal effect doesnt bring tempo in arena. Life doesnt matter to much in arena (i wouldnt call lifesteal a tempo play in rankeds?). 

Sure the bonus card is very good in arena, like any extra card generation is really good. But still an extra card in hand wont win you the board for now. Also no tempo gain for this effect.

Still a very powerful card (with dragon synergie lol) but i wouldnt call it a tempo card. More likely a good value card.

Wow. Majestic tempo card!! Dragon Highlander is REAL in every class.

This and Azure Explorer is this expac's battle for "too cute minion for it to exist in a battlefield, I don't wanna kill it!"

Azure definitely wins that one for me, but I suspect we'll see explorers for Druid and Hunter as well...
