Everyone is complaining about that weapon should have belonged to Shaman or Paladin but I can see the connection with the hunter honestly and liked it.
Dwarven Gryphon Riders uses hammers most of the time and they all are like hunters more than paladins/shamans so I liked the flavor here.
Look how they themed hunter in this expansion around Gryphons/Riders/Dwarves and Primordial Dragons. I think it fits well and I have been playing hunter for a while in past. Also this Stormhammer is a ranged weapon with lightning power of it.
The term "Hunter" doesn't mean Ranger tho.
See Falstad Wildhammer for example. He is a Gryphon Rider and using a weapon like it.

I liked the flavor of it tbh.
I can leave now.
Perhaps the artwork could a little bit better convey the fact, that it's a "throwable" hammer. So people could easier associate it with Hunter and not with Shaman.
it's flying though
This hammer is broken ...in the worst way possible.

Have you heard of the
avengerswho-the-hell-gave-Hexxar-this-stupid-fcking-hammer initiative?Rexar from warcraft 3 had an axe and a mace was a melee characters so thats why here you can see the weapon in HUNTER
fun fact:
Hunters can't use maces
#ClassIdentity
Rexxar is a hunter and he had it as a skill, man you even said it earlier.
what did i say earlier? lol
yes, it was a spell. and the spell did something completely different than this weapon does. this is just the hearthstone team ignoring class identity after saying they care about class identity. period.
Fun fact rexxar had a mace in wc3
rexxar is the original hunter, and this was one of his weapons, so, is not a mis fit
cause , every weapon in hearthstone is a "melee" weapon, if not you have thing like Hammer of Wrath which is a spell where you "throw" a weapon
This card makes no sense. Rexxar didn't use a hammer as a melee weapon, he threw it at things.
And why should this be a melee weapon?
that is a better way to critizice the card, but, well, you use bows to kill stuff from far, and in hearthstone you stopm yourself into the thing you want to smash, but i get it, i think dis could fit as a spell, since it was a rexxar skill
This weapon is obviously inspired by Mjölnir, it's evident from the appearance, the name, the lightning theme etc. And if you know your Nordic lore, you'll know that Mjölnir (Thor's Hammer) is often thrown in all media in which it appears.
Nothing wrong here people, move on.
Doomhammer is inspired by Mjölnir, not this weapon.
Right, because you said so?
1. It's a massive hammer... just like Mjölnir.
2. It's used as a thrown weapon, despite hammers not being good for that realistically... just like Mjölnir.
3. It's themed around storms and electricity... just like Mjölnir.
4. Even it's appearance closely resembles... that of Mjolnir.
You think there might be a chance this is inspired by Mjölnir?
Rogue was the only class that had "infinite" weapons now has a competitor
Realistically this is more balanced than those of Rogue
