Lmao what is this art
I AM GNOME AND YOU'VE BEEN GNOMED!!!
Works well with both neutral Elise as well. Heck, even Gang Up/Toggwaggle's Scheme combo with this, or Baleful Banker, or all sorts of things. I'm really hoping that modded Kingsbanes don't count as a 'new' card... they shouldn't, but who knows how Blizzard thinks? I mean, look at Summoning Portal and Naga Sea Witch "math"...
pretty sure the way to utilize this card effectively is by aiming to draw cards that let you draw additional cards, like faldorei strider, turn 4 faldorei into turn 5 stowaway gives you 16 16 worth of stats and draws you 2 cards, thats strong, drawing cards you shuffled in your deck on the other hand, with a very specific condition, you must ve played a card that is worth drawing and you must ve shuffled copies of it in your deck, that means you are playing a control rogue, which usually involves shuffling tons of nzoths in your deck, and reaching that point usually means that you are in a good spot already, you also cant really cut lategame cards from control rogues, the ones you run are usually there for a very good reason. the weakness of control rogues is surviving early game, and having a 5 mana lategame card substitute one of your defensive earlygame cards is just not good.
regarding elise, well, its weak, since you re running elise in a rogue, which is bad, kingsbane can be tutored by 2 different (and better) cards already, so it wouldnt affect that deck at all, not to mention its a bad deck.
you can play it with shadows, but shadows are a bad card, same with espionage and darkness.
this deck really only fits in a tempo deck, other than that it might find its way in some janky otk; thats for wild though, in standard i dont see this card being played at all
Funny that he card art would look like someone fleeing a campus fire
#FreeHongKong
So many edits in there - thanks autocorrect for failing.
This is more waxdred support. The candle didn't start in your deck, and the goal of the deck will be to shuffle as many candles as possible into it. Will be better than candle breath for drawing.
they should've made it atleast a pirate
No. You wouldn’t want to pull this out with hooktusk. If you ever intend on shuffling in something, the Battlecry will always be better
Holy...ACADEMIC ESPIONAGE!
This actually seems deceptively good (as in, it's much better than it appears at first). I mean, we'd all agree that a 5 mana 4/4 draw 2 cards is amazing (better than Azure Drake that saw so much widespread play it got Hall of Fame'd). While the fact that it's conditional may seem like a drawback, that condition - and the subsequent targetted nature of the card draw - is a huge plus. If your opponent isn't messing with your deck (and right now that happens far less often than it does), the 2 cards you'll draw are cards that you really wanted extra copies of.
Some examples of good power plays with this card in standard:
* Waxadred - resummons Waxadred. So you're getting a 4/4 and 7/5 with good deathrattle for 5 mana (or two Waxadreds if you've copied it in some way, perhaps with the new 4 mana combo card).
* Academic Espionage - draw two 1 mana cards, so for 7 mana you're getting a 4/4 and two cards that are likely worth 4+ mana.
* Shadow of Death - the big one. For 5 mana you're getting a 4/4 and 2 copies of whatever minion you shadowed.
* Portal Keeper and Portal Overfiend for 5 mana you're getting a 4/4 and two 2/2 rushers.
Plus if I'm not mistaken all the 'cast when drawn' cards mentioned above actually draw you more cards, so besides the effects listed you're getting 2 cards (which aren't limited to card that didn't start in your deck). So take Shadow of Death for example. For 5 mana you're getting a 4/4, two copies of whatever you cloned, and two cards. HOLY HELL.
If the Doom from the Tomb event doesn't end before this set comes out (though I suspect they'll end/start at the same time), there's even a new Maly combo here with Emperor Thaurissan - though it works with Galakrond if you hit either Maly or Shadow of Death, or with Shadow Step and Prep if you're super desperate. Anyway, the point is that you get out Maly and Shadow it, putting three 'spell copies' of Maly in your deck. Play until one gets spawned at the start of your turn, then play Stowaway to tutor for the other 2. You now have +15 SD and 5 mana left. Any 2 spells will kill your opponent. Hell, you don't even need to wait for the first shadow - with any 3 spells you should be able to take your opponent out then and there.
While this card requires specific deckbuilding to actually maximise its potential, that potential really is amazing. At the very least, should be a 2-of in any deck involve any of those aforementioned cards.
I know when I first saw it I was like "draw 2 on a 4/4 for 5 is really good, but having to put cards into your deck to enable it? That's a bit cute", and I know I'm not the only one that would've had that first impression.
It's just that when you actually look at some of the cards that put things into your deck, it's so much more than just "draw 2". Properly built around, it's "draw 2 + get two powerful cast-when-drawn/mana cost reduction effects". That's why it's deceptively good - you look past the cuteness of having to enable a draw 2, and realise it's a not-too-hard draw 2 + so much more.
Too specific, i like it.
CJ looks weird. :D
Pretty good on curve after Fal'dorei Strider in Wild.
LMAO Draw bombs, corrupt blood and mini albatross
Outside jokes Rogue can put in and take out (insert your favorite infinite combination)
Drawing the mini albatross this way would still be better than doing it when your turn starts.
I am definitely excited for this card. Makes Academic Espionage, Togwaggle's Scheme, Shadow of Death, etc. so viable. We will see.
Maybe even The Darkness.
The Darkness consumes all.
The Darkness shuffles into your OPPONENT'S deck, not YOUR deck. Stowaway draws from YOUR deck.
Unless you mean using The Darkness to counter your opponent's Stowaway.
I confused its effect, oops. Never mind. :(
guys this is a translation of a Korean card please understand if the text is weird
This means that along with Paladin, Rogue could potentially counter the Albatross if they wanted to play highlander
Fun synergy with the new rouge dragon and if your desperate to pull those birds out of your deck this is perfect lol
