will probably not see Constructed play due to huge power creep but if released in some previous expansions it would be seen in top ranked decks. It’s only bad in the sense that 90% of cards in any expansion are bad.
a 4 mana 4/4 that did the same probably would see play. A 3mana 3/3 that did this would be auto include in any shaman deck.
i mean like it reminds me of unstable portal. its ether realy meh or helps a lot with wining you the game. likely going to be a meme card see legendary list before considering:

i mean 5 mana 5/5 is decent already, this is just, inconsistent with the utility, but, mosy of the time is a decent tempo play with the potential upside of have taunt, divine shield, on board effect, etc etc etc that could be a problem for your opponent
It's not going to be a super effective competitive card. But comparing it to Shifting Scroll is bad, because while both are unpredictable, the scroll offered no possible bonus or advantage to either tempo or value, while this card will very often be terrible and you'll be upset it's in your hand, it can at least have the possibility of high-rolling
The big difference is that, opposite to Shifting Scroll, the price on this one will stay at 5, so most of the time it will be a discount on the Legendary effect (which is usually more important than the body itself).
Like a slightly less bad version of Xerus.
Slightly.
Did anyone play Shifting Scroll after the first week? No! The unpredictability makes this card unplayable. When you have the mana to play it, you have to deal with something on the board, .... or the legendary at the time is useless ... or you hope for something better ... or you have a better option ... or ...
This wont see play after the first week.
5 mana 5/5 Al'Akir the Windlord is bonkerz

four words only.
this card is bad
Blizzard really likes to find inspirations for their shaman minions in Lewis Carrol poems. First Shudderwock (Jabberwocky), now Bandersmosh (Bandersnatch)
Oh, wow, this is actually pretty good. Many legendary minions are strong because of their battlecries or end of turn effects etc.
One probably doesn't have to wait for long before something very useful will appear. Of course, playing this on turn 7 or 8 is probably not great
Does it turn into 5 mana cost random 5/5 legendary or it keeps the new legendarys original cost? Swifter Zeruschanges mana cost to original mana iirc.
always cost 5 mana the cost dont change
so i guess this turns into a 5/5 copy of a legendary minion but keeps the mana cost of the random legendary? that can be pretty powerful if you get a low cost legendary just for the stats alone.
im sure someone will correct me if thats not how it works but seems that way.
Pretty sure it's 5 mana 5/5 copy. Imagine getting 5/5 Deathwingfor 10 mana. That would be rude af.
On the other hand getting a 2 mana 5/5 Bloodmage Thalnos sounds pretty good. ^^ Either version of the card could work just fine.
