So if you play this onto a Dragon with Dragonrider Talritha deathrattle will it retain those effects or just the body?

Just the body. Cards always lose any buffs/debuffs/other applied effects when they go between fields e.g. from board to hand or from graveyard to board, unless the wording of the card specifically counters this e.g. Immortal Prelate.

There are some exceptions to this rule, e.g. handbuffs remaining when the buffed minion is played from the hand to the board (obviously - otherwise handbuffing could not exist as a mechanic).

Clarifying this a bit.
The flow of the game is deck -> Hand -> Board -> Graveyard.

Copying cards into the same or a later stage of the flow retains the buffs. Copying a card into a previous stage creates a blank card.

e.g. Reviving minions (grave->board): no buffs
Stealing cards from opponennt deck into your hand: keep buffs.
Duplicate cards on field: retain buffs.
Add a copy of a minion from board into your deck/hand: no buffs.
Add a copy into the graveyard: wait this mechanic doesn't exist yet, but it would retain the buff, but getting it into the game would mean going backwards in flow so at that point it would lose the buffs anyways. Sorry if this last example screwed up the clarity.

This card is absolutely insane. -1 Mana for +1 Health from Zola, and it is also a rare instead of legendary!

I think this card probably confirms that previous card Chromatic Egg is bad.

Actually it supports Chromatic Egg pretty well and makes it a lot better. Especially if you're forced to discover a Battlecry dragon

Why not just ignore the egg and put the actual dragon you want in the deck then?

I don’t think any deck have time for hatching the egg when they can make more active plays like playing the dragon you want, a 2/3 and getting a copy of it. 

Edit: not to mention the egg costs 5 mana so you have to get about 8/8 worth of stats or a good non battlecry ability to be any good

Good thing there are lots of 8/8+ dragons, and ways for Rogue to summon more than 1 from the egg. Mechanical Whelp has already seen extensively play, not just in that class and it costs 1 more. 

Also just because someone is summoning a Dragon from this egg doesn't mean the Dragon would've been a good inclusion in the deck to begin with. It's like saying why play any Discover card when you can just play the card you want to Discover, this is just crater brain logic.

How can you tell that this sets won’t introduce more low stats dragons? 
Discover card like Frightened Flunky for example is played because it is a 2/2 taunt minion. The egg is just a 5 mana 0/3, it heavily relies on other cards to give you a value that you can easily get by just including the dragon you want into your deck.
