Hecklebot was used by Oaken Summons, so this is good with that or against Big Priest but against decks aggres is useless
Oaken Summons
haha stupid card, but super great for big priest
This is a great one, easy board clear condition + completely ruins a resurrection priest's rez pool.
Haha yessssss build a combo deck that is able to fuck big priest is dope :))
After Hecklebot and Conjured Mirage, this feels like they are really trying to fathom out what would be the best mix of a big 4 mana Taunt with a downside. I really like this approach in card design.
But I think I like Hecklebot better. While this can affect Rez mechanics, it only really targets some Priests, whereas denying my opponent a big battlecry or exposing an important combo piece is (likely) always relevant and worth the risk of giving my opponent a free Sea Giant (which I have a few times).
While most 1 mana minions are just 1/1s or 1/2s with battlecries or weak deathrattles, it would be a good outcome if the 3/9 ends up as a 3/6 and nothing worse. 3/6 Taunt for 4 is still good, but using it against decks (or just classes thanks to spell discovery) with board buffs like Druid or Shaman is too big a risk, I think. But who knows, it might come in handy somehow.
Comboing it with MC Tech as someone already pointed out is an interesting idea.
Hecklebot has more intrinsic counter tech to it though. It could lose you the game at the same time against the wrong deck type, but if you know what your opponents playing, you can ruin their game. Not as good as Dirty Rat, but similar concept. How about a Taunt deck that runs all three of the weird 4 cost taunts. NO ONE's GETTING THROUGH MY 4 COST TAUNT WALLS!!
we finally got the nerf we been asking for to priest in wild, nice
Anti Big Priest tech :p
Finally that Cult Apothecary synergy we've all been waiting for.
On a more serious note, though. Three 1-cost minions will usually have a combined attack of 4 or 5, essentially making this a 3/4 or 3/5. So, unless your opponent already had a board and you were planning on using an AoE anyway, it doesn't seem very good.
Nice card, every card that ruins resurrection pools has a +1 from me
Unlicensed Apothecary shenanigans
Well, with 4 minions slot empty in your opponent field, this + apothecary + the spell that give one of your minion is 15 damages.
With a Thaurissan tick, on an empty board, those 3 cards + Brann is 30 exactly. I might build a for fun deck :)
How is playing a 3/9 taunt and summoning three 1-cost minions for your opponent the same as summoning three 1/1's on your board and transform them in completely random 4-mana minions? I wanted to say this logic doesn't make any sense, but I'm not sure I dare call it a 'logic'...
It doesn't take a genius to understand that he was pointing out that Zul'Drak Ritualist is a 4 drop that can be evolved from Desert Hare. No need to be so elitist and talk down to the guy - you're just embarrassing yourself.
evolve does not stay forever in standard tho
Love it as a tech option if rez priest is ever a tier 1 deck, I hate rez priest soooo much! Other than that it's a pretty meh card.
It's not abysmal, but I think Nice Little Raptors was better in almost every way (though limited to Warrior i guess, this has possibilities for Priest et al.)
Very good in Wild druid decks, both for Oaken Summons and as a counter to Big Priest. Won’t see play in other decks for the same reason Hungry Ettin wasn’t played.
Desert Hare + Evolve = Zul'Drak Ritualist
