Soooo...even ignoring the broken-as-fuck battlecry effect...EVERY TIME you invoke, you are getting a free firey waraxe with 1 durability. Yeah. Nothing broken as fuck there. Noooo nothing insane.
Yes, this is busted and I think an aggro warrior would run it even with no intention of playing it simply for the invoke hero power +3 attack effect to clear or go face with. It is busted as fuck.
Invoke is expensive. If it were +2 attack this card would be pretty unimpressive
We haven't even seen one warrior invoke card yet. Keep your pants on.
short hands :(
This can be very good with the standard warrior quest
No, it actually doesnt. Either you override the quest hero power with galakrond (in wich case, why run quest) or you overrun galakrond hero power with the quest one.
You either go quest or go galakrond but certainly not both, unless you want to meme.
True, but sometimes, the memes are worth it.
Do Invoke cards work without Galakrond in deck? If so, at least the Invoke cards might be good in Quest Warrior, to help generate face swings while building to board. Sure, you'll need to have some weapons, but also getting some minions which help you swing might help complete the quest more quickly, and also to refresh your Quest hero power once completed. While Galakrond doesn't help, maybe the Invoke package is good enough to run anyhow.
No, they are like C'Thun and you MUST have Galakrond in your hand or deck to activate the invoke.
Thanks. Still, might be interesting. If the Invoke stuff is good enough, Galakrond might not be a terrible card. I doubt I'd craft stuff for the deck, but seems worth it for someone to give it a shot.
A cool replacement after boom rotates
Wait... Invoke cards also draw a minion and give it +4/+4?? Is that how it works? or it triggers the hero power?
Triggers the hero power so no card draw from the invoke-cards. :)
Thank you. That's a relief haha
Not sure how its going to perform, probably not that well while Dr. Boom is still in Standard, when it rotates out, however, it might perform well.
Dr. Boom got nerfed into oblivion. Warrior is now the third worst performing class according to hsreplay. Playing and building around Dr. Boom will not get you wins anymore. Saviors of Uldum saw so many strong tempo cards printed that an aggro/tempo warrior archetype formed with barely any legendary support. Warrior is getting the ability to swing for 3 while also generating late game value alongside an 8 mana 12/12 that can double as board clear. Good riddance to Dr. Boom.
By far the best hero power out of all Galakronds so far in my opinion, since it is an immediate effect, and reliably taking out minions was a big reason why Malfurion the Pestilent was so good. The battlecry is just ok, not too exciting, but I generally prefer a strong hero power with an ok battlecry over a strong battlecry and a weak hero power.
Potential finisher for an aggressive/midrange warrior.
So far Warrior's and Rogue's Galakronds battlecries do nothing in fatigue, and if you won't fully upgrade them, they just change your hero power and give you 5 armor (along the Invoke bonus, if you have even Invoked). If you upgrade them fully, they give you 5/2 weapon as a gift also, with the Warrior's hero power it's 8 attack burst, and 16 in total of 2 turns, not bad tbh. This is also worse Malfurion's DK HP.
