i just wanted to share that wining this  week in under 40 minutes i got also the reward of previous tavern brawl !!

Played Agatha, video available. I fcked up at the 2nd power choice, as well as the last treasure. Could have gone 7.30 i think

AHHHH!!! I Just became the rider because I used the Kodo's skin whip on the boss?? I broke the game and can' finish the tabern run :(

is it bugged? didnt get rewards :/

I finished in 26 minutes with boom, no reward. Retried with Reno in 32 minutes, said to go again for under 30. Must have to use the 4 new portraits for the new reward.

How are people getting 10 minute runs? Is there some strategy I haven't read about?

there is a card called Best Friends Forever. 

The first step is to get lucky and find that card as a reward. this can be done with any class.

the second step is to choose Agatha. she has a treasure spell to make all minions in your deck a copy of a friendly minion. 

the final step is just to choose a butt load of minion buckets, and with a bit of drawing rng, use the spell i mentioned in step 2, and you will end up with at least 20 of the wolves if your deck is nice to you. 

Finally, take sir finley mrrglton and use his hero power to speed up the process. if you can get lucky enough with treasure/passive choices, then you can get it in under 9 minutes with the minion cost reduction, and the hero power reduction passives.

That was a let down. Just finished it in 9 minutes.

First, don't bother after 20 best friends, only 20 carry over. Second, there is no reward for below 30 minutes, even though the game says so. 

Thanks for the tip. I already had 3 in my deck, so getting the build up didn't take long at all, just two runs with Hagatha. Even the second run where I defeated the horseman, I purposely drew out two of the fights to build up my friends (I got the shuffle treasure), and still finished in 27 minutes.

I wonder if Hagatha might be faster, with some insane RNG.

Specifically, if your first passive treasure is the one where spell cost health, and you get lucky on boss 2 and cast both transmog and fox, you'd be able to potentially able to OTK all boss starting on boss 2 instead of 6. Since you can, in theory, dog-hit-fox-dog-hit all the boss.

Given the number of spells in start deck though, this would be terribly inconsistent, unless you get another fox or a ethereal for your active treasure.

Ideally, your second active treasure would be the spell that gives windfury&immune to your minions. This would allow you to kill the horseman by end of his turn 1, as you can kill body and ding head once on turn 1 and he will suicide on his turn.

I'm gonna guess sir finley best time would be around 8:20

Hagatha, if all things go right, can save 4-5 more turns so it might actually get under 8 min. But, as noted, that's gonna take some godly RNG (and honestly, the animation required to cast fox MIGHT take longer than an AI turn, I dunno)

I'm just waiting for some hardcore player to try this....

 Edit: By "might be faster" I mean the theoretical best time only. Finley is, without a doubt, the best one to pick for consistently getting under 9 min. In fact, you can get under 9 min w/o the "right" treasures. I did get 8:40 or so w/o any of the treasures being useful. On PC anyway, when it's at this level of time crunching, loading time, animation lag etc actually matters and mobile would be at a distinct disadvantage. 

How does best friends work? I cobbled together a random Reno deck for my blind run and was a few minutes too late, 45. I blame rooms like trap room and the lady who constantly heals herself for just being slogs. 

It's basically just stacking the one you play with the others you have in your deck. So everytime you play one of them, the status will combine with the other copies. Well that's what i get (e.g. You have 2 of 'em, play one and you'll get a 2/2 stat with charge and taunt).

what mikedeadlock said but also as the card says, they carry on forever, so the ones you chose from the previous tavern brawl last week do cary over to this one too
