This post summarizes the most important things you need to know for today. For all the indepth knowledge and Encounter strategies check our Tombs of Terror Information and Strategy Guide!
What is Tombs of Terror?
Tombs of Terror is a solo adventure in the Dungeon-run style, where you can play as 1 of 4 Dual-Class Explorers and build your character and deck with a choice of cards, Hero Powers and treasures from 2 classes. The goal is to defeat the given PvE Encounters in a Chapter. Each Chapter typically has 8 Encounters, somewhat randomly chosen from a pool of them restricted to this Chapter.
What Time does the Adventure Release?
LIVE right now.
How do I unlock the Chapters?
The first Chapter unlocks for everyone for FREE. The second Chapter unlocks with the Deluxe pre-order, individually for 700 in-game gold (or €6.99 EUR/$6.99 USD) or all Chapters at once in a €14.99 EUR/$14.99 USD launch bundle.
What are the Rewards?
You can earn 3 Saviors of Uldum card packs for completing each chapter and the final encounter. There's an additional golden Classic pack for clearing all four chapters and card backs for deating all 5 chapters on Normal and Heroic mode. You can see the Card Backs HERE.
What's the story?
The League of E.V.I.L. has let loose several plagues upon Uldum, which in turn unleashed a host of mighty mythical beings, including the terrible Plague Lords. Thankfully for us Elise Starseeker reunited the League of Explorers and with them we are going to fight evil and save Uldum (and the world) from destruction.
What are Plague Lords?
Every Chapter ends with a fight against a Plague Lord end boss. These Plague Lords have a persistent health pool between Dungeon-runs, meaning that you will pick up the fight where you left off last time, instead of having the Plague Lord at full health again. They switch tactics and Hero Powers when you bring them to certain health totals and become even more deadly.

Good luck and have fun!
If by "better" you mean "more expensive" then indeed the game is the best it's ever been. Otherwise, the standard balance and overall experience is pretty much terrible.
I couldn’t agree less
They don’t give free skins anymore. Not even selling them alone. The only way to get them is to spend 80 dollars for it. Some people don’t want packs, they just want the skins.
I don’t enjoy ranks anymore. In the old times, When you met against bad matchups, if you play smart enough you might have some chance to win. Now it’s like playing paper rock scissors. Aggro beats combo decks Combo decks beats control decks. Control decks beats aggro decks (The only way to win bad matchups is to draw godlike hand)
And about that ben brode guy, Card reveal with him used to be the most exciting things ever. Everyone always look forward to seeing his livestram and listen to his laugh but now card reveal never feel the same. Hours of babbling before starting the game and rope every turn just because they want to ”talk”
The only reason I’m playing is tavern brawl and solo adventures since they are the only things that gets better
Awful moneybait content. Ben Brode team are crying in a corner seeing their game going downhill like this... or maybe he's really laughing due his new $$$$$ patron investment.
Tomb of Terror Tip #12
Fill your board with Ragnaros the Firelord. That should do the trick.
what's the reward when i beat the 300 hp dude ?
Nothing.
Eventually you get a reward if you beat all 5 chapters, but just for 1 individual one, nothing.
In fact, I just got my 3 card packs after getting defeated on Boss 7 in my Chapter 2 run, so I don't think you even need to get to the Plague Lord to get the card packs.
(or it's a bug, always possible)
EDIT: One of my fellow mods just said that you get the packs beating the 5th boss. So that explains that.
Less (x)minutes in your life.
To get 3 packs you only need to beat 5th both of the dungeon run in that specific wing. There's no other rewards besides unlocking more starting treasures/decks.
Happy to see my man Bob return :)
Just beat first plague lord (normal) on the first try with Frost Lich Jaina + Darklight Torch + Titanic Ring. Infinite Water Elemental with taunt > Infinite murlocs.
Wow even the bosses are an RNG clown fiesta. Who pays money for this garbage. 3 tries and each time the second boss just burns me out by playing a hand full of face dmg spells. Gee i could beat players if i had all the face damage spells from all the classes also.
Look for the 'Enemy minions have -1 attack' passive. First try 300 to 0.
Managed it first time too with that same treasure, enemy BEES didn't go well for him at all haha
Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I really miss the way adventures were done up until KotFT. This is the 5th expansion where you have to go through the random deck 8-boss rush that beats you all the way back to the starting line if you lose. It's getting really exhausting.
I wish they would shake things up because I like both formats and would like some more variation between expansions.
8 bosses per adventure is really tiring, also the bosses have to be super generic since you can't build a deck specifically to fight them
i wish they’d do another puzzle lab tbh that was my favorite
Boomsday Project was also nice, with a puzzle mode that feels ways good to HS.
But I'm also missing an expansion based on pve. I'm not asking too much, just an adventure flavored expansion each season.
thats make it fun :)
