Friday Fun Decks

What's better than after a long week of grinding things out at work, school or Ranked Ladder to kick back and relax with some Friday Fun Decks going into the weekend?

Well, we brought you a selection of decks to do just that. There's some standard decks, some wild decks, but most of all these are decks with interesting cards that haven't seen much use, Archetypes that have been forced out by better competition in the same class and combos that are often too unreliable to see play on the Ranked Ladder, but they are FUN. Truth be told though not everyone's idea of fun will be the same, so we cast a wide net and hopefully brought something for everyone.

Blackhowl Gunspire Warrior

This Standard deck basically hits the trifecta of things that get you on the Friday Fun Decks list: Built around an overlooked but fun card, has some crazy combo shenanigans to pull off and is an archetype that is overshadowed by other archetypes for the same class.

The deck is not bad either given that the creator piloted it to Legend rank. Which is just more proof that we don't just feature any strange homebrew deck on the Friday Fun Decks. Most of the time we seek decks that actually work.

Highkeeper Ra Hunter

I want to point out I said "most of the time" decks need to work, in the previous blurb. This Standard deck is probably going to give you a lot of losses before you get it to work, but when you do, you do something unique. You catch your opponent totally off guard with this utterly unexpected combo.

I mean, who expects Mogu Cultist in a Hunter deck?! We have to thank user MarkMcKz for his dedication on this one. He didn't just make a Hunter version, he made decks that successfully summon the Highkeeper for every class. Amazing!

High Casino Mage

This Wild deck brings back memories of the good old days when Casino Mage was first a thing, with Unstable Portal, Spellslinger and Effigy.

Like any good nostalgia deck, it combines some of the best of the past, like Cabalist's Tome with some of the best of the new cards like Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron into one big RNG filled beautiful mess.

Majordomo OTK Druid

This Wild deck uses and abuses the combination of Majordomo Executus with Clockwork Automaton with some standard Druid late game deck building to create a One Turn Kill.

We love us some complicated OTK decks, and this one is fairly involved. Luckily it has a good guide that explains what you need to know to pull it off. Check it out and then have some fun dealing 128 face damage!

Prison Paladin

Sometimes you are just not in the mood for fun. You had an awful day or week and honestly, it is time that the world suffered with you. This Wild deck lets you do exactly that: Make others suffer.

Between Rebuke, Nerub'ar Weblord and good old Mindbreaker there's plenty of misery to spread around and deny your opponent basically everything. Hopefully this will make you feel a little better and help you have a fun weekend.

Green Waters Shaman

Jade Shaman was a terror on ladder many moons ago, and with the addition of Corrupt the Waters you can now supercharge some of the more dangerous battlecries from that era and be an even bigger terror. Isn't that FUN?!

This Wild deck uses many of the cards of yesteryear, but with the Shaman Quest and newer cards like Shudderwock and Barista Lynchen you add some variation and experience Jade Shaman like you never have before.

Budget Reborn Lackey Zoo

Cheap fun, an important part of daily life, can be achieved in many ways. We bring you some in the form of this Standard Zoo deck. It is 1240 dust total and uses only 2x Knife Juggler for rares.

And cheap fun isn't just for those without the dust to make the 19880 dust behemoth Casino Mage deck listed above. Sometimes restricting yourself to a very basic deck hones your abilities to play sharp and makes you appreciate the more expensive decks you have, while realising that you don't need them to get wins and can have plenty of fun even with very basic decks. Sometimes less is more.
