Turn 2 lore walker cho, does this help?
People played odd rogue to get a 2/2 weapon and you say this 3/2 immune weapon is bad?
Stupid?
Yes, oh wise guy, a 2/2 weapon that is available right from Turn 1 WITHOUT any tempo/card conditions is surely on the same power level of a 3/2 weapon that requires 1 card, 1 mana tempo, and even more tempo to fulfill the quest, which will only be ready for use after T5+
Please, teach us ignorant mortals more about your hearthstone insights.
Lol "add 4 cards from another class to your hand"? Where's the Quest part?
Kinda comparable to a WoW quest that says "walk a mile in whatever direction you want", you're gonna do it anyway, quest or not.
Is the quest just collect 4 cards from other classes in your hand
I would equate it to a D&D rogue- "Pick 4 pockets"
It's harder to do with the better cards to play in burgle rogue because they have a high chance of giving you neutral cards. The directly class specific burgle cards are of much lower value. So you are trading off the better cards for the weaker ones to get a weapon that is useful but not game shattering. Keep in mind you need to short yourself a starting car din hand to play this as well. It's a solid quest but nothing i would say is OP or is necessary to compete with in Rogue.
The speed in which the quest is completed is VERY relevant thou.
The later the quest is done, less usefull the weapon become.
Completing the quest may be easy, but getting the right ratio between removals and effects is the hard part.
@Hellonslaught
Sounds reasonable but I don't entirely agree. Dealing 6 damage for just 2 mana is relevant in any stage of the game.
You haven't seen the other quests?
Draw 20 cards, heal 15 health, 4 turns with mana left, ...
They're designed so that they'll usually happen anyways but you can tailor your deck to make it happen sooner. The previous quests were too specific so that only one or two archtypes could ever make use of it.
Soooo... You're essentially saying the exact same thing I'm saying?
Except for the argument that my argument is invalid because the other quests are designed the same way?
I'm not sure why people think this is bad. Rogue will still do everything it's great at - i.e. winning tempo and smacking your face - and this gives it a great mid game tool to repeatedly do exactly that. Guaranteeing 3 damage to face every single turn is pretty damn good.
It'll be an aggressive burgle rogue type which gets most out of this. Not the memey value one.
This is a strong quest that is easy to activate, but I can't work out how good a card it is because I'm just not sure about how much the quest reward supports any of rogue's game plans? The weapon effect is more like a control tool but dealing 3 damage per turn for 1 mana isn't going to go the distance against warrior... or any proper control class. Hmmmm
OP quest and very easy to complete with no downside. Rogue runs cards like this anyways more tempo generation.
As a top ranked burgle rogue I think this is a bad card for the(my) deck.
I prefer Spectral Cutlass over this.
Guys don't forget that Spectral Cutlass can be removed by any project weapon, ooze or harrison jones while this hero power keep going infinite.
4 cards and not even play them how is this a quest all rogues already play that you are just loseing one starting card for this quest
Not even play them? Why not? If u get swipe vs druid why not use it to clear its tokens? This says add 4 cards. Not hold 4 cards
The point is you don't even need to play them complete the quest, not that you need to not play them. Only problem I can see is that you are giving up one card in your opening hand, which can lead tempo decks to run out of steam pretty fast, and thief rogue is best as a tempo deck. We'll see if the reward is worth it.
Well, with the dream opening hand, it is turn 3 (if you are second) or 4 quest complete. (Assuming you are not playing against rogue, t1 Quest, Turn 2 Pilferx2, Turn 3 Blink Fox + Shadowstep + The Coin + Blink Fox)
Rogue already got a lot of support
Pilfer,Stolen Steel,Pick Pocket,Academic Espionage,Blink Fox,Face Collector,Hench-Clan Burglar
for this quest, and without dream opening hand, they can complete the quest early/mid-game. Since the quest reward is better than what odd rogue got, I believe its definitely worth to play. I guess the balance of this quest (compare to odd rogue) is that you cannot get the reward instantly, and you have to lose some tempo if you wanna get reward early. However, once you get the reward, there is no balance!
The more realistic way to complete quest is; Turn 4 Spirit of the Shark, into Turn 5 Blink Fox + Shadowstep + Blink Fox (If you face against rogue, do the same thing with Hench-Clan Burglar on turn 5&6)
