When I saw what you have to do to complete it I was interested, since burgle rogue is an interesting deck. But atm I think that Spectral Cutlass is better, mostly because you can heal by ridiculous amounts when out buff it with Tinker's Sharpsword Oils and Deadly Poisons and the huge amount of non-rogue card generation (like Burgle or Hench-Clan Burglar) will mostly assure that it can be used very frequently.
Also the "quest is given at the start of muligan" pro of this card is also questionable, since you effectively have 4 Spectral Cutlasses in your deck (2 weapons and 2 Cavern Shinyfinders).
As a player who have played a lot of burgler rogue i can tell that the only thing that sucks is having your spectral cutlass destroyed so frequently.So with that being said i can guarantee u that this new weapon is much more flexible since u can always regenerate new and it is not weapon buff dependent so imo it will see play and is a huge upgrade to burgler rogue.

Happy to see someone thinking as i think about this card.
I honestly think people are overestimating this card. The reward is great, but if you play a tempo deck like rogue you usually can't afford losing a card in your opening hand to get a nice reward in turn 7-8 or so.
I feel like too many people are ignoring the problem that quests cause much slower opening hands to begin with, not just for this quest. Quests have great payout, but they need to, to make up for the lost tempo/card advantage that your opening hand has.
Decent card, but is it really worth losing one card in your opening hand and deck? Some cards, you need to try for yourself to understand their efficiency. 3 damage per turn sounds good, we'll see.
Probably worth it just for the health even
Its not only 3 dmgs it give a weapon (that u can potentially buff) wich is resilient and stronger than fiery war axe at 2 mana . This reward is insanely good and can win alone your hardest match up (aggro/face decks in general)

I think this will be nerfed fairly quickly to 5 or 6 cards. I guess they are compensating for the super Rogue nerf the other month.

You forgetting one thing. If only one of this cards in a bottom of deck this qest become useless. Four cards to steal realy not enough to complete this qest.
Did you know that the new rogue 1/2 mummy cat can add a reborn minion from another class to your hand? My guess is that after the rest of the reborn cards are revealed, it will be a 50% chance to get a reborn card for another class. The cat is a really support card for the rogue quest.
turn 3 exactly how? pilfer /pilfer, blink fox, blink fox in your opening hand WITH coin? Do you know how many times will you have the amount of cards to complete if before turn 5(not 3) ? Most probably less than 30% (I have played tons of Tess rogue, hundreds of games).

Well it might be possible to finish this quest with 4 mana spend. Quest, pilfer, crystalsong portal with no minion in hand... But that will not happen even once in entire expansion I would bet.
There is a bit higher chance with spending 5 mana (including quest) - but this will happen in 1 game out of 100.
Pilfer, pilfer into 2cost cards, which gives you 2 cards - astral rift, dragon roar, violet haze,
Pilfer, pilfer into 2x one cost spell which gives you another things from other class or is twinspell (tome of intellect, ray of frost, desperate measures, rapid fire, cloning device, shimmerly, springpawn etc.
2x Pilfer, 2x pharaoh cat and good luck.
I would say in half games (unless it is full thief rogue) it will not be finished before turn 5-7, probably even later, especially if you are starting. You just dont always get cards you want. In 10% games it will be finished on turn 4-5 with hench clan, 2nd blink fox or bazaar mugger.
Because out of 30 cards you can use for this quests before it are: Pilfer (2x), Pharaoh cat (2x), Blink fox (2x), Henchclan (2x), espionage (delayed for another turns), bazaar mugger (2). Personally in thief deck I will not play cat, so I will have there 9 out of 30 cards to make this happen, so majority of the times there will not be 4 of those in my hand in first 4 turns to use the quest on curve.
Well basically you need deck which is running at least 4 cards to get resources - probably much more (6-8) to be able to reliably utilize it before you have to draw through all your deck. It can be super easy, but as well difficult - sometimes you run into rogue, which means you will not probably finish the quest, so it is dead card. Sometimes your foxes etc will be bottom of your deck, so you dont get it until late game.
The issue I have is, that pretty much all thief/tess/espionage rogues need the cutlass to stay alive long term - there is no decent healing/lifesteal card in rogue/neutral except Zilliax. This is kind of "prevent some damage", but it doesnt help you a lot staying alive, you will be eventually taken down. And you spend 4 mana + buffs to have endless (ideally) deal 7 damage and heal for 7.
Deathrattle rogue doesnt probably want thief cards (you want deathrattle and draw cards) and will need more necrium blade.
I dont think it helps to pogo rogue as well, as you want draw more pogo, you dont want to spend space for cards that doesnt help you buff your pogos.
So only deck it helps is some kind of tempo rogue. Perfect, there are 4 options how to run rogue in current meta (tempo, deathrattle, pogo, shuffle/thief) and this helps only one of them. Everybody hated tempo rogue couple months back, so lets bring him back.
But maybe I am wrong and it will be well utilized for thief decks instead of cuttlass - you dont need to search for cuttlass, you dont need to play those cards to keep the weapon alive (i.e. playing brawl in tess deck), you can swing every damn turn.
ah yes. a quest you can complete turn 3. super fun. 3 dmg and imunity when attacking.
and warlock gets... a relativly hard quest to complete even for the draw heavy warlock and we get to make cards cost 0.
