It's bad a minion that removes itself hahaha.
The thing is, it's horrible against control and midrange since it will have zero value. But even against aggro, this is just half as good as a regular taunt because your opponent will ignore it. You won't take any damage face, but your Taunt won't trade any minions either, and that's the most important part of a Taunt card, it forces aggro to trade, and this one doesn't.
Sure, downvote me but I can tell you, in a world where a 4 Mana 2/5 Taunt Reborn exists, which is like a 4 Mana version of Sludge Belcher, no one will ever play this.
For a OTK Paladin this is like a TIme Out.
Not Taking damage for a turn can be a huge, huge factor! And sometimes, that is the only purpose for a taunt minion, and not to trade efficently. Think of the Giggling Inventor. So this is a giggling inventor that shuffles itfels back into the deck, if it lives, in some way. Just that if the enemy decides to trade it does a good job, and that this is not strong vs a huge minion board like 8/8 giants, but it is very good against a Board full of Murlocs.
I didn't downvote you, but I think the card is a niche card, but one that can work pretty well.
I think you don't deserve the downvotes, but the thing about this card isn't the playability, people just like the originality of the design. This 4 mana reborn taunt is maybe stronger but far less exciting and interesting in terms of the design and overall creativity. And I'm the guy who got downvoted to autohide because of my critique of the reborn taunt, so I know how you feel)
Because it doesn't stay on your board next turn.
If aggro has a problem removing it, they will just ignore it, it is unlikely to draw it the second time, in aggro match ups games are decided usually within first 10 turns. So against aggro it's kind of 0 attack taunt. I honestly don't know if that's good, we never had a card like this. It doesn't really prevents fatigue, control decks will just kill it. In aggro, fatigue doesn't matter.
I like the design, though.
This minion is really good when both players are at the fatigue. You basically survive the fatigue match
Yes Blizz, throw more anti aggro cards at me. Cover me in anti aggro... yess...yess...just like that.
good card
Very refreshing and powerful. If you play this and the opponent trades, then you basicaly just played an overstated 4-drop which is hard to deal with and takes some resources from the opponent to deal with it. If the opponent decides to ignore it, then you basically froze the board for 4 mana, with the opportunity to repeat that few turns later. Some meme potential is here as well, so I think the designers worked really well on this one. Maybe it won't fit the meta, its hard to know that for sure, but certainly a cool and unique standalone card.
There are obviously other ways to deal with a huge taunt also so playing against this will be pretty interresting! The "freeze the board" argument is not quite true, as a single silence, stat manipulation like Hunter's Mark or hard removal like Execute can open the floodgates to face.
By ignoring it in my argument I meant completely ignoring it, i.e not spending removal resources whatsoever, thus the freeze argument is still sorta working. But I agree, finding other ways to handle the card is a pleasure.

A lot of people are saying this is a bad card, (and who knows it probably will be), but basically another way people can think of it is similar to a 4 mana neutral Time Out!. Sure it definitely isn't the same - your opponent can use up resources and remove the taunt or your face can still be targeted by spells and hero powers.
Actually, it probably should be more compared as a neutral Frost Nova for those reasons. You can throw a Doomsayer behind it, so it may have more use than people realize. And this of course has the obvious fatigue counter aspect to it, which idk if it will really see play for that reason.
Or yes it might be trash. I do think it is an interesting card though
Most interesting card in the new expansion by far.
Love the design. But does anyone know how this would interact with cards like Doomsayer? Is it like the first card placed on the board will trigger it's effect first?
So on turn 6 I would first play Conjured Mirage and next Doomsayer. If both survive till the start of my next turn (in original state), would Conjured shuffle in my deck first, before triggering Doomsayer?
Order of play should matter
Text says "at the start", not "after the start". You know the thing when dead minions with text "at the end of your turn" do their stuff in some circumstances? Might be like that.
I like when from time to time they make a common or rare card have a unique design instead of putting 1-3 keywords and a previously used effect on the thing and calling it a day.
I would say that is the most interesting card revealed so far. I like it a lot.
It's kinda like a reverse doomsayer. Doomsayer is "Destroy me or I'll wipe your board".
This is "Let me be or I'll wipe your board"
Why would it wipe your board? I feel like I'm missing something
