You must live on a paralel universe or some shit cause we're clearly not playing the same game.
Control is easy and aggro is hard, lmao.
Zoolock's Nuclear Option
Yup I can see this being a great counter to Giant Mage to be able to clear off their board for so little cost. Plus the combo value with that new 2 mana deathrattle discard card to refill you hand back up.
I'm not sure about this card. I think it will see play only if Control Warlock see play (because Zoo doesn't like to destroy his own board), and that isn't even certain at this point. Biggest Warlock's flaw right now is his early game, which makes him especially vulnerable against super aggressive decks (like Murlock Shaman). His only AoE tool (Hellfire) is simply too slow and this one seems to be even slower and less reliable. To clear board full of murlocks, you need exactly 4 mana (same as Hellfire) but also 6x buffed Rafaam's Scheme which is not even possible on turn 4... Also top deck this won't do anything useful. It's nowhere near as good as Defile was.
This card might be crazy in late game, but late game improvement is not exactly what Warlock needs at this moment.
Ye, sure, downvote me and let the blind hype cloud your judgement. I never said this card is bad, I'm just not sure if it will find any place in next meta. It's hard to fit it into zoo (it doesn't like tempo loss) or control (due to lack of decent support in this expansion, Control Warlock might not even be a thing in SoU meta). To me it looks like they're pushing midrange Warlock archetype (and this card fits there perfectly), but will it be good enough to stay relevant? Will it be able to beat popular decks like Mech Hunter, Control Warrior, Giant Mage, Murlock Shaman? Can you confirm it this early? Because I don't...
Wasn't the concept of plagues supposed to be that they affect every minion on the board? And then in the very set that they introduce the "keyword," they print a card that doesn't necessarily affect every minion on the board? How is it possible that they undermine their own premise IMMEDIATELY? Could be a bad translation, I suppose...
When they announced plague cards they said the idea of plague cards is that they would have “a catastrophic effect that would affect both players,” not “every minion on the board.” The first one shown was an AOE that hit every minion, but that wasn’t the rule for all of them. Just look at the rogue plague of madness as another example. Yes they are generally removal-ish but the key was powerful symmetrical effects that you try to manipulate to your benefit. Plague of flames perfectly fits that stated goal.
Gotcha thanks.
Customer: Warlock needs a boardclear, like Defile but easier to calculate.
Blizzard: "Hold my Beer."
this is what doom pact should have been
I see some posible mechathun deck with this since this also destroys friendly minions, and is only one mana
Darkest Hour, my friend!!
lol @ Unwilling Sacrifice
4+2=4... sure
Wild Pyromancer + Equality sounds more like 4 to me :)
You forgot that Equality was for 2 mana before the nerf, right?
Sure was. Remind me, when was Consecration ever 2 mana?
Used to be Wild Pyro + Equality for 4 mana
Ok, I'm stupid xD
