Coming from a wild perspective this card looks good but I am unsure if it will make midrange hunter a tier one deck again. Most wild archytpes are either control/combo or hyper aggressive. Midrange is in a weird place in wild currently where more often than not playing the first two options will almost always grant more wins. It looks really powerful for arena and possibly could allow midrange in standard to be a thing.
Wait do people not comment "nice" on 6/9 cards anymore?
(This post is an obvious joke, pointing a finger at people who get angry and call cards OP when they get announced. I don't think this card is broken at all, it's only for Hunter after all. I do find it a little strange how no one actually thought this was a joke. Read it again carefully, especially that last part)
I feel obligated to tell everyone before and after me that commenting matters not, I know best and seeing as how I've seen like, 13 cards revealed so far, I'm deeply disgusted with how blizzard is announcing strong hunter cards. It is not fair in the slightest that this card will without a doubt be better than any cards yet to be revealed, this is fact. You don't need proof because when I see a new card that looks strong, it means that its the best/ most broken card ever printed. Why does the developer of this garbage (and I use that term heavily) game feel the need to reveal cards like this instead of horrible/ weak legendary's first, such as the new Finley card, that card is absolute garbage, it only upgrades your hero power, talk about going back to the days of bad odd decks. This newly revealed card, however, is OP; KILL ANY MINION FROM HAND? Good job ruining your game, Blizzard, whats next, a card that buffs my whole deck by +1/+1 if I have no 2 drops? That sounds too reliant on draw so i'll say don't add that, it's too weak, disregard the fact that the expansion isn't out yet.
K please stop
It's not much of a joke on people who actually act like this if i have to say it's one.
I'm sorry, this is certainly strong, but I don't see a problem with pushing hunter in another direction (control, rather than midrange or aggressive). To me, at least, this is a very control-ly card (obviously similar to Dirty Rat, as so many people have pointed out), which indicates that Blizz is pushing hunter in a new direction. Yes, this is an overstatted six drop, but it likely won't end up at full health when it hits the board. This could be considered a slower hunter deck's answer to token decks, since it would be at its most powerful in that case. Nevertheless, consider the fact that many decks (say, giants mage) run threats which are big enough to make this obsolete, or at least significantly less powerful than other decks. One (though certainly not the only reason) that Dirty Rat was so strong was that it could be used with Mind Control Tech, among many other combos. There isn't really any noteworthy card currently in standard which could make a comparable combo, so I don't see a problem. Finally, if you want to talk about overstatted hunter beast 6-drops, then consider Savannah Highmane.
Admittedly, Hunter is getting other strong cards, especially those which enable combos, but we've seen mechanics which allow hunters to cheat out big beasts before in the game, so I don't see that changing in the near future as long as hunter continues to just get slower cards without the control tools to carry them to that point in the game.
Your worry may be merited (and only time will tell!), but for now, I'd say that you can rest easy knowing that any aggro deck can easily beat a hunter before they get to the point of unloading their combo or becoming a control deck that truly needs combo disruption.
You know what, you have a very good point.
Why you dont work for blizz man if you have the masterplan for all problems?
This is technically a 6 for 6/9 Rush minion, which also negates the opponents Battlecry.
At no point, will you be at a disadvantage by playing this card.
Auto include, easy. Which is the type of card I hate.
Just wondering, does no one see how this post is clearly sarcasm? Its kinda obvious seeing as how the guy clearly stated it was a joke.
Your mindless negativity is not welcome here. Begone!
You're right, let me edit my post to make it more positive. I went overboard last night.
I see this as one of the underrated sleeper cards of the set. It's not only a 6/9 for 6 which are pretty good stats distribution wise but it's a dirty rat that likely kills it's target and survives. Quite good actually even though it might not appear as good as it is. It's only in hunter unfortunately but might push the control archetype.
How can it be a sleeper if everyone knows how powerful it is?
New players or some of the general public might not know how good it is
Seems 4 expansions in a row of hunter being the most played class was not enough.
It looks like Hunter is getting some pretty good toys this expansion! Big Beast Hunter coming up!
