A sleeper in card game terminology is a card that everyone thinks is bad but turns out to be good.
Nobody thinks this card is bad.
It's obvious this card can be very powerful in Murloc decks. It won't be underplayed, unappreciated nor fly under the radar. This will be a staple 1 drop for any aggro deck, not just murlocs. This may end up being one of the most powerful 1 drops of this expansion, how can you call that a "sleeper."
Will see play. Possessed Villager did.
Very underrated and slept on card I bet this will see a lot of competitive play. I get people think a 1 mana 1/1 isn't particularly good, especially newer players but It's going to be an early game power house. The effect sells the card it's basically a 1 mana 2/2 that needs 2 instances of damage to remove, almost like half a haunted creeper for half the cost.
Hungry Crab is returning to the meta
I am calling it now for future reference: this card is a sleeper.
At first it might look the same as Mecharoo but it isn't.
Unlike mechs, Murloc decks have great tribal synergy, can snowball out of control very fast if left unchecked and they do care A LOT about tempo. Thats why printing sticky murlocs is a VERY dangerous thing to do.
It's not a sleeper, it's 2019, everyone knows one-drops like this see play.
Ditto, it's not a sleeper. Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect 200.
Current Poll for the Card: Source
96.2% think it ranges from playable, to very good or meta-defining, The other 3.8% probably got violated by Murloc decks with no lube on too many occasions.
There is nothing that "special or unique" about a 1 mana 1/1 designed with the newest mechanic. Murloc synergy makes it very good obviously, but this card still good in plenty of other aggro decks like Zoo etc.
Sleeper cards are overlooked by everyone as they are deemed to be unplayable in competitive/constructed mode, Murmy doesn't fit the meaning of a sleeper card.
Don't worry, HellOnslaught, Hearthpwn is filled with normies that don't know any cross-game terminology and only read your first sentence.
urban dictionary isn't exactly the most reliable place for game terminology. There is nothing about this card that is the slightest bit sleeperlike. It's just a direct upgrade to Possessed Villager and that card was in damn near every warlock deck the whole time it was standard.
This.
Card.
Is.
Not.
A.
Sleeper.
He's doing the Possessed Villager dance.
Murloc-Mummy = Murmy
Murloc decks are already strong. This simple card could push them over the top. Could actually be meta defining card.
Yeah, thank god Hungry Crab is a thing. (do I have 2??)
A sticky murloc, Shamans will be all over this.
Arena filler
"Nobody said "Cute" was a requirement when we signed up..." :-P
A Mecharoo/Possessed Villager, only a Murloc, AKA the tribe most infamous for getting out of control if it sticks on the board.
Not the flashiest card, but possibly one of the strongest. Really, really good.
great addition to murlock shaman.
Regis called this being 1/1 reborn
